Jessa Duggar Reveals How She Shed 15 Pounds After Baby No. 6: ‘I Feel Great!’

Jessa Duggar is juggling a lot after the arrival of her sixth child, but she remains committed to her fitness aspirations.

“I’ve managed to shed around 15 pounds over the past couple of months,” the 33-year-old former reality TV star mentioned in a Tuesday, January 6, YouTube video, where she discussed her postpartum weight loss journey. “I’m only about five pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight, which feels amazing; it’s thrilling to be nearing those goals.”

Jessa welcomed her sixth child, Eddie, with her husband Ben Seewald in August 2025 after seven and a half hours of labor. The couple, who tied the knot in November 2014, are also parents to Spurgeon, 10, Henry, 8, Ivy, 5, Fern, 4, and George, 2.

The TLC alum mentioned she oscillates between being “really strict” with her nutrition and enjoying a full-blown “cheat day.” She noted that avoiding dairy has not only helped alleviate her 5-month-old’s eczema but has also been “incredibly supportive” of her own wellness efforts.

“When Eddie’s eczema wasn’t improving after cutting out dairy, the doctor suggested that eggs might be a factor, so I’ve eliminated those as well,” she shared. “It’s not the greatest fun to restrict my diet and skip treats and ice cream, but it’s ultimately very good for me. This is likely the healthiest diet I’ve ever followed. I remind myself it’s a temporary phase, and it’s beneficial.”

Alongside her dietary changes, Jessa revealed she’s been having oatmeal for breakfast and staying consistent with home workouts. For lunch, she prepares a salad with chicken or salmon and often has a similar meal for dinner, frequently incorporating quinoa into her dishes.

Jessa admitted she’s “never been into working out,” so she uses the personal trainer app Trainwell to help keep her on track.

The mother of six commented that her husband was “really into” fitness during their early dating days, sharing that she exercised the most back then, but maintaining that routine has become more challenging.

“Ben has always been much more consistent,” Jessa noted. “He usually works out at least two to three times a week.”

She mentioned that they try to involve the kids when they can, revealing that YouTube videos were also a temporary solution for her. However, Jessa expressed that she found herself stuck in a “rut” with the same routine instead of challenging herself with more difficult workouts.
