Jessica Simpson Shares Rare Family Photo of All Three Kids Post-Thanksgiving

Jessica Simpson is embracing the festive season with her children.

On Thursday, December 4, the 45-year-old shared a charming picture on Instagram featuring her and estranged husband Eric Johnson’s three kids in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Their eldest daughter, Maxwell, 13, and son Ace, 12, stood proudly beside their youngest sibling, Birdie, 6, gently resting their arms on her head.

Ace wore cheerful red flannel pajama pants paired with a gray T-shirt, while Maxwell showcased her playful side in jeans and a brown sweater, sticking her tongue out for the camera. Little Birdie looked adorable in a denim skirt, white tank top, and a sweater tied around her waist.

“Christmas time is here!” Simpson captioned the joyful post. “What December brings to my kids has always been about love, excitement, hope, happiness, grace, and pure JOY! Wishing you and yours all the blessings this month has for your hearts ❤️🎄💚🎄.”

This sibling snapshot followed a recent Thanksgiving reunion between Simpson and Johnson, 46. On November 28, the “Irresistible” singer revealed to TMZ that her ex-husband attended her family’s holiday celebration.

“We were all together yesterday at my mom’s,” Simpson shared with the outlet.

When asked if Johnson was included, she affirmed, “Of course. That’s my kids’ father.”

The Dukes of Hazzard star noted that “all” the grandparents were present for the gathering as well.

“Family first,” she emphasized while offering her insights on coparenting.

“Regardless of circumstances, your child is part of both parents, and [it’s important to] always show respect in what you say around them so they maintain a positive perspective,” Simpson explained. “Unconditional love is essential.”

Simpson and Johnson announced their separation after a decade of marriage in January.

“Eric and I have been living apart, navigating a challenging situation in our marriage,” Simpson stated in a message to Us Weekly at the time. “Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are thankful for all the love and support we’ve received and ask for privacy as we work through this as a family.”

Since meeting in 2010 and marrying four years later, Simpson and Johnson have seemingly maintained an amicable relationship post-split. In August, they were seen boarding a Southwest Airlines flight from Burbank to Las Vegas, sitting together with an empty seat between them, and attended Jessica’s sister Ashlee’s concert that same weekend.

“I’m not sure why my heart feels haphazard, but I count myself as one of the fortunate ones,” Jessica told People regarding her friendly separation from Johnson in February. “At least I have my children and Eric is still very much a part of my life.”

Throughout her separation, Simpson has celebrated significant milestones. In September, she released new music for the first time in 15 years, and on November 1, she marked eight years of sobriety.

“Eight years ago today, I made the choice to confront, confess, and release the self-sabotaging aspects of my life,” Simpson posted on Instagram at that moment. “Making this decision allowed me to fully pursue God’s purpose for my life. Alcohol silenced my intuition, clouded my dreams, and fueled my fears of complacency.”

She continued, “Today, I am clear. Today, I am driven by faith. Both fear and faith are emotions we experience but cannot always see. I’m so grateful I chose faith over fear. My strength was not found in the struggle, but in the surrender.”
