Jinger Duggar Addresses Rumors About ‘Mystery Grandkids’ in Her Family
The Duggar family has captivated fans over the years as they continue to grow — but could there be even more members that remain a mystery?
“Are there any hidden Duggar grandkids?” a fan inquired of Jinger Duggar during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday, February 5.
Jinger, one of 19 siblings, humorously responded, “Ohhh,” along with a side-eye emoji. “Maybe there are some I don’t know about in a family as large as mine?! Haha jk,” she added with a laughing, crying-face emoji.
While Jinger, 32, is sure she knows how many grandchildren her parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, have as of now, she admitted that keeping track of everyone — especially their birthdays — is no easy task.
“I have my siblings’ birthdays and my parents’ birthdays memorized,” Jinger mentioned via her Instagram Story when asked if she has to “google” everyone’s special day. “Beyond that, in-laws? No. Nieces and nephews, maybe one or two?”
Jinger expressed her mixed feelings about not being able to recall her nieces and nephews’ birthdays offhand.
“It’s one of those things where I kinda feel bad about it but, at the same time, we’re at like 40 grandkids from my parents, so that’s quite a lot to remember,” she said.
She added, “There are a couple of the sisters-in-law who might have them all memorized, and I’m so impressed by that. That’s a big deal. I’m just not great with dates.”
As fans may know, Jinger rose to prominence in 2008 when she and her family made their reality TV debut on TLC with 19 Kids and Counting. The show aired for 15 seasons, concluding in 2015.
It showcased Jim Bob and Michelle’s lives as they homeschooled their 19 children: Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie.
In 2015, the spinoff Counting On debuted, following the older children as they married and started families. The sequel series was canceled after 11 seasons in 2021 due to Jinger’s brother Josh’s scandal involving sexual misconduct. (Josh received a 151-month prison sentence after being convicted of possessing and receiving child pornography.)
Even after the show’s conclusion, fans have continued to follow most of the Duggar family, including Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo.
The couple married in 2016 and have since welcomed three children: daughters Felicity, 7, and Evangeline, 5, and son Finnegan, 10 months old.
During her Thursday Q&A, Jinger offered her followers additional insight into her life in such a large family, particularly whether she sends gifts to all her siblings and nieces and nephews on their birthdays.
“I wish that were the case, but that’s somewhat overwhelming given the number of siblings I have and all the nieces and nephews,” Jinger frankly replied.
She then reminisced about how, growing up, she was “impressed” that many of her aunts and uncles sent her and her 18 siblings “birthday cards until we turned 18,” each containing around $5.
Jinger previously mentioned that during the holidays — she and Jeremy attended the Duggar Christmas in December 2025 for the first time in nine years — gifts are exchanged based on a drawing.
“Everyone is giving gifts for the person they bought for. All the older girls are in one drawing, all the guys are in another — including in-laws and everyone,” she clarified during a December 2025 episode of their “Jinger & Jeremy Vuolo” podcast. “All of the little nieces and nephews … have a drawing system too. [Everyone] buys one gift, or a set amount, for each other.”
