Joe Bradley Unsure If Southern Hospitality Comes with an Emmy for Will
Joe Bradley referred to his Southern Hospitality co-star Emmy Sharrett as a “star,” but he expressed concerns about her relationship with Will Kulp and its impact on her well-being within the show.
“I believe that hospitality in the TV realm is a perfect fit for Emmy,” Joe exclusively shared with Us Weekly on Thursday, March 6, after Will opted to skip the season 3 reunion, leaving Emmy to face the rest of the cast alone.
Joe admitted, “I’m uncertain if the show is right for her while she’s involved with Will and they maintain their current dynamic in their relationship.”
The reality star remarked that for Emmy and Will to foster a “thriving relationship,” they must be “fully committed to one another.” Joe observed, “It doesn’t appear that way. It looks like she’s putting all of her effort into him, while I’m not convinced he feels the same. I genuinely hope he does.”

Joe expressed that watching Emmy and Will fail to support each other is “frustrating.” “I genuinely want them to be happy together, and I’m not trying to speak ill,” he told Us. “My comments come from a place of frustration.”
During the dramatic finale of season 3 of the Bravo series, Will faced accusations of allowing a brunette to stay with him while attending law school and bringing her to law prom. These allegations followed previous claims of him cheating on Emmy during both the second and third seasons.
Will defended himself by stating that the woman was merely a friend from law school and that Emmy was aware she stayed at his apartment during their trip to New York City.
At the season 3 reunion in NYC, which aired on Thursday, Will was noticeably absent. Emmy explained to host Andy Cohen that although Will was backstage, he chose not to come out due to his “mental health” issues.
She mentioned, “I don’t want to undermine his love for me just because he isn’t here to express it himself.”

Joe conveyed to Us that he felt “disappointed” in Will’s choices since just a day before, Will assured him he intended to attend the reunion. Joe recalled their chat at a Super Bowl gathering: “He told me, ‘Hey, I’m definitely going to be there for my girlfriend tomorrow.’”
Joe elaborated that he “wasn’t particularly concerned” about Will’s appearance to “clear his name,” but rather he wanted him to “support Emmy” since he had abandoned her throughout the season.
“I have a deep compassion for Emmy, and I believe she deserves a partner who will be there for her. It’s as simple as that,” Joe stated. “When you love someone, you stand by them and support them.”
After the reunion concluded, Joe indicated he didn’t want to “kick” Will “while he was down,” recognizing the seriousness of mental health. However, he told Us that he suspects Will is now “regretting his choices.”
“He’s the one in law school; he should know better — skipping out makes him look guilty,” Joe quipped.
Despite all the turmoil this season, Emmy has remained loyal to Will. She told Us in December 2024, “Will has been 110 percent faithful to me.” Additionally, she expressed hope that an engagement could happen by the end of this year.
In contrast, Joe shared his opinions on whether Will might propose, given their recent challenges.
“I believe he will [propose], but if he sees Emmy as his backup, she shouldn’t accept,” Joe admitted. “He needs to shift his mindset to one that recognizes commitment and support on both sides.”
Joe enthused, “Emmy’s a star. He’s her backup, but he isn’t stepping up for her.”
Regarding Joe’s relationship with Will after the reunion, taped in February, he mentioned he still considers Will a “really good friend.”
“All my exasperation comes from a place of care. It’s tough love,” Joe explained to Us, noting he has seen Emmy and Will together but they haven’t hung out as a group. “I’ve noticed Emmy has been excelling at work recently. It seems like she’s regaining her spark, and what matters most to me is that she gets that special something back that everyone loves about her. I hate seeing her upset.”
