Jon Gosselin Blocked by Ex as Kate Gosselin Makes TikTok Debut
Jon Gosselin recently made a cryptic disclosure about being blocked by an ex.
“I just found out that someone blocked me,” Gosselin, 48, shared on TikTok on Saturday, August 9, adding, “It was my ex [who blocked me]. I can’t see anything! Not that I was looking or anything, but I find it rather intriguing.”
The former star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 made these cryptic remarks shortly after his ex-wife Kate Gosselin announced her presence on TikTok. Fans speculated that Jon may have been subtly alluding to being blocked by Kate on the platform.
“I was considering who to follow — I’m thinking about Kate now; her content seems better,” one viewer commented, to which Jon replied: “Bye, it’s all good.”
Kate recently confirmed her official TikTok account after some wondered about its authenticity.
“Hi everyone! Many of you are curious if this is actually me and my account. I just [hopped on] to let you know that this is truly my account,” Gosselin informed fans. “I’m just waiting for TikTok to verify it. So if you’re checking, I don’t blame you because I do it too. Just know it is me.”
In a follow-up video, Kate noted her followers might not see much of her and Jon’s eight children in her vlogs.

“There will be a lot of dogs and kids, but mostly dogs and me,” she joked. “I’m embracing my era as a German Shepherd dog mom. Is that how they say it? You know what I mean. Anyway, it’s me. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks.”
The Gosselins’ journey through parenthood with their eight children was documented on the popular TLC series Jon & Kate Plus 8, which aired from 2007 to 2017. (Jon and Kate share twins Mady and Cara, 24, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel, 21.)
Jon and Kate announced their divorce in 2009, and the show was rebranded as Kate Plus 8 the following year. Since the show’s conclusion, Jon has admitted that a divide formed between him and several of their children when he was granted primary custody of Hannah and Collin in 2018.
In November 2024, Jon announced his engagement to his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo after three years of dating, promising to invite all of his children — even those he’s currently not in touch with — to his wedding.
“I would definitely do that,” Jon stated to Entertainment Tonight in December. “I’d certainly send invites to all of them. They are my kids.”
He added, “It’d be nice for [Lebo] to meet my other kids. I mostly support the kids who are part of the family. If the others come around and realize what’s happening, the door is always open.”
Regarding the current state between Jon and Kate, he confirmed to E! News in January 2025 that the two have not spoken.
“We don’t communicate,” Jon stated. “I think the last time I heard her voice in person was around 2018.”
Fans of Jon & Kate Plus 8 can catch up on past episodes through Prime Video and HBO Max at any time.
