Justin Baldoni’s Legal Battle: Blake Lively Shifts Focus to Her Beauty Brand
Ryan Reynolds is Blake Lively’s number one fan when it comes to her beauty brand.
The star of Another Simple Favor and founder of Blake Brown shared her excitement on Instagram on Wednesday, May 21, about her husband’s enthusiastic support for her beauty line. The brand has just unveiled a new range of hair and body mist fragrances that Reynolds, 48, is particularly fond of.
“He genuinely uses [the products],” she mentioned in her Instagram post. “His favorite is the Wild Nectar. I thought he was simply being supportive, but he really loves wearing them,” she added, noting that the mists smell “so yummy and sexy” on him.
Additionally, Blake Brown has launched two other scents: Bergamot Woods, which features fresh citrus and subtle woody notes, and Sandalwood Vanille, offering a fresh twist on creamy vanilla with a touch of jasmine.
“His skin accentuates the more woody and masculine notes, allowing the lighter sweetness to come through, resulting in an overall smooth scent,” Lively remarked about her husband, highlighting how well the hair and body mist melds with his cologne. (According to GQ, Reynolds uses Labo Patchouli 24, which merges masculine musky scents with milder vanilla and birch notes, perfectly complementing Blake Brown’s Wild Nectar, a light scent featuring vanilla and cedarwood.)
“It’s incredible how adaptable fragrance can be and how it changes depending on the wearer, regardless of age or gender,” Lively continued. “It smells so different on him than on me, and uniquely on us compared to our mothers or teenage family members.”
She also shared an earlier Instagram post on Tuesday, May 20, discussing the uplifting effects of scent, especially when you need a “boost of joy and vibrance when you’re not feeling your best.”
Lively understands this deeply. This marks Blake Brown’s first new product release since she became embroiled in a legal dispute with her It Ends With Us director and co-star, Justin Baldoni.
In December 2024, she accused him of sexual harassment and “disturbing” and “unprofessional” conduct on set, along with a retaliatory smear campaign. Baldoni, 41, countered the allegations in January, claiming defamation and extortion against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicity team, who have denied his claims. The legal proceedings are ongoing and are set for trial in March 2026.
In the meantime, Lively expresses she’s feeling “grateful” and “proud” to share the newest hair and body mists with her audience and “their husbands,” as well. She tagged her husband, who has also been promoting Blake Brown on his own Instagram, calling him her “favorite fan.”
The couple first crossed paths in 2010 while filming Green Lantern and started dating in 2011. They married in 2012 and are proud parents to four children: James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2. According to Lively, Blake Brown has become “a staple” in all of their family’s bags and backpacks.
Blake Brown Hair & Body Mists are available in stores and online at Target and blakebrownbeauty.com.
