Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross Discuss Their Family Planning Goals
Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross have officially tied the knot and are eager to start a family.
In a Wednesday, June 11, episode of Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt’s “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, Biggar, 30, shared her hopes of becoming pregnant soon.
“I’m thinking during our honeymoon,” she excitedly remarked, to which Shallcross, 28, responded that it would be “great” and he’s “down.”
The couple also discussed their future family plans regarding the number of children they desire.
“Ultimately, I have to pay attention to how my body feels,” Biggar stated. “Definitely two kids to start, and then we’ll see how challenging that is. Perhaps we’ll consider having a third.”
The former Bachelor revealed they are “99 percent sure” about the possibility of having twins.
“Both of our families have several sets of twins, so we’re pretty convinced it’s likely,” Shallcross shared.
After getting engaged in season 27 of The Bachelor in 2023, Us Weekly confirmed that Shallcross and Biggar secured their marriage license on May 2 in Travis County, Texas. They held their ceremony a few weeks later, as per court records reviewed by Us on Wednesday, June 11.
Shortly after Us confirmed their marriage, the couple released a video showcasing their wedding day along with their vows.
“Kait, from the moment you stepped out of the limo, and I looked into your beautiful, unforgettable eyes, I knew something was different,” Shallcross expressed in a behind-the-scenes video from Bachelor Nation via Instagram. “There was a spark, a calming sensation that my life was about to change. And it did.”
Biggar also shared her heartfelt feelings during a touching speech.
“Zach, today I stand not only as your wife but also as your lifelong teammate, your biggest supporter, and your best friend. Our love story has been anything but ordinary,” she stated. “It’s been beautifully unexpected, perfectly imperfect, and uniquely ours. You have been my greatest adventure, and I can’t wait to see where life takes us. If our beginnings are any indication, we’re in for an incredible journey.”
Two months ago, Biggar disclosed that she and Shallcross were planning their wedding for this year.
“Life is wonderful,” she said during an appearance on the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast in March. “Zach and I decided we’re getting married this year. No, I won’t reveal the date. But yes, we’re thrilled about it. I’m really enjoying this phase of our relationship and the life we’re building together, soaking in every moment. We’re traveling so much, and I love him dearly.”
