Kaley Cuoco Quips About Having a Traveling Circus with Her Family’s Pets

Kaley Cuoco resides in a house full of animals — in every sense of the word.

“It’s pure chaos,” the Big Bang Theory star, 39, reveals exclusively to Us Weekly about sharing her family ranch in Thousand Oaks, California, with dogs, horses, cows, goats, and more. “It’s like a roaming circus. We wouldn’t have it any other way.”

A lifelong animal lover, Cuoco’s pet care brand, Oh Norman!, has recently partnered with The Amanda Foundation in Beverly Hills to assist animals in finding loving homes, although the actress admits she’s tempted to adopt a few herself.

“As soon as I arrived, I thought, ‘I regret this because now I want to take one home,’” she jokes.

Cuoco mentions that her fiancé, Tom Pelphrey, “knew” this would happen, explaining, “He’s like, ‘Okay. Just let me know what you’re bringing home.’”

Before the foundation’s open adoption event, the Flight Attendant star and her team volunteered to give makeovers to the dogs in need of homes.

“We did nail trims, provided haircuts, and even took before-and-after photos to showcase their transformations,” she shares. “We conducted a survey that indicates nine out of ten people prefer adopting a dog that’s clean and smells nice. We found that insight really intriguing, and we thought, ‘If that gives these dogs a better chance at adoption, we’re going to clean them up.’”

Cuoco encourages pet owners to adopt rather than shop, saying, “Most shelters have what you’re looking for, so consider checking them out first instead of buying a dog. Shelters are overwhelmed; we are facing a crisis.”
