Taylor Swift has undoubtedly captured the hearts of Chiefs Kingdom, winning over both the players and the dedicated staff behind the scenes.

In an exclusive conversation with Us Weekly, Kansas City Chiefs executive chef, Erin Wishon, expressed her admiration for Swift’s presence around the team since she began dating Travis Kelce.

“You know what’s surprising? I’m really taken aback by her authenticity,” shared Wishon, who works for the Chiefs via Aramark Sports + Entertainment. “We serve the team and often see everyone as they leave the locker room. It was refreshing to see how kind and genuine she is. Honestly, you don’t often see celebrities engaging with the kitchen staff.”

Wishon added, “When someone behaves that way, it’s truly remarkable.”

Swift is also known for her culinary skills, especially her now-famous homemade Pop-Tarts, which have received glowing praise from Kelce, 35.

“I haven’t tried one yet, and I’m incredibly jealous because I think she’s amazing,” Wishon laughed. “I’ve heard they are really tasty. She’s definitely an outstanding baker and cook.”

Both Wishon and Swift will be at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9, as the Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Kansas City aims to make NFL history by winning their third Super Bowl, a feat that involves extensive preparations from Wishon and her team.

“We begin our planning well before the final game, considering there’s so much to coordinate,” she noted. “You can’t just start from scratch after winning [the AFC Championship] and expect to be ready. We lay the groundwork ahead of time. Usually, we provide meals for the team six to seven days a week throughout the season, so we follow a structured plan.”

She continued, “I adapt to the hotel menus. I’ve found that working with their established offerings rather than customizing everything suits everyone better.”

Aramark Sports + Entertainment, which employs Wishon, partners with eight NFL teams to provide “top-quality culinary experiences through an innovative and data-driven approach to menu development.”

Wishon likened each player and coach’s individual dietary preferences to a “rider,” similar to what musicians use while touring.

“Everyone has their unique preferences,” Wishon explained. “The team is fantastic. Nobody is particularly demanding or high maintenance. We understand the dedication they put in; they are truly working hard. The coaches are relentless, and the players have plenty to manage as well.”

The Chiefs will face off against the Eagles on Sunday, February 9, in Super Bowl LIX at 6:30 pm ET on Fox.
