Keith Urban Remains Silent on Nicole Kidman Divorce While Filming on Set
Keith Urban didn’t allow his divorce from Nicole Kidman to impact his responsibilities on the reality competition series The Road.
Contestant Billie Jo Jones shared with The Daily Mail that Urban, 57, maintained a high level of professionalism and concentration while on set for the show.
“You wouldn’t even realize he was dealing with anything, as he definitely set personal matters aside and was professionally focused the entire time, which is the mark of a true artist,” she stated in an interview published on Friday, October 24.
Jones described her experience working with Urban as “a dream come true,” praising the country singer as “someone who genuinely wants the best for you and motivates you to become your best self.”
The Road, produced by Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan, showcases 12 emerging artists vying for the chance to be Urban’s opening act. During the premiere episode on Sunday, October 19, Urban reflected on dedicating a significant portion of his life to his craft.
“It’s a calling, and you’re either going to embrace it, or you won’t succeed. When you wake up on a tour bus at 3:30 in the morning, feeling unwell, in the middle of nowhere, knowing you have to perform your fifth show later that night…” he explained during the episode.
Urban added, “And you haven’t slept, and you’re missing your friends and family, feeling utterly lonely and unwell — you question, ‘Why am I doing this?’ The only answer is: ‘Because this is my destiny.’”
Earlier this month, an insider told Us that Urban’s High and Alive World Tour kept him incredibly busy leading up to the end of his relationship with Kidman, 58.
“He is constantly on the move,” the source revealed. “He’s been touring since June and was in Australia in August.”

The source continued, “They had both been spending considerable time apart due to work obligations, living separate lives. They were not aligned.”
The Road premiered less than a month after Kidman filed for divorce from Urban following nearly 20 years of marriage on September 30. The ex-couple, parents to daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, reached a parenting agreement stipulating that the girls will spend 306 days a year with their mother and 59 days with their father.
Despite their divorce, Urban still featured a family photo with Kidman and their daughters in a slideshow during his High and Alive World Tour stop in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on October 2. The image appeared while Urban performed “Heart Like a Hometown.” He wrapped up his tour in Nashville on October 17.
As Kidman and Urban’s divorce proceedings unfold, a source informed Us that the Big Little Lies actress is focusing on establishing new traditions with her daughters and ensuring their home life remains stable and nurturing.
“She is moving forward positively,” the insider stated. “She isn’t specifically seeking a new normal in all of this, as they had been quietly separated for some time.”
