Kelsey Grammer and Wife Kayte Walsh Are Expecting Their 8th Child at Age 70
Kelsey Grammer is preparing for fatherhood again.
Grammer, 70, and his wife Kayte Walsh are expecting their fourth child together, as reported by multiple outlets on Tuesday, June 17. Images shared by the Daily Mail and People showed Grammer out and about with his very pregnant wife, 46, in London.
Walsh was seen in a long black dress paired with a brown cardigan, looking relaxed with her hair pulled back in a bun, glasses on, and her baby bump clearly visible. Grammer was next to her in a blue polo shirt and light shorts, accessorized with high socks and dark blue sneakers.

The Frasier star shared in August 2010 that he and then-girlfriend Walsh were expecting their first child, just over a month after his ex-wife, Camille Meyer, filed for divorce. Their first daughter, Faith, was born in July 2012.
Grammer and Walsh announced their engagement in December 2010 and married in February 2011, shortly after his divorce from Meyer was finalized. Following their marriage, they welcomed two sons: Kelsey Gabriel in July 2014 and Auden James in November 2016.
The recent pregnancy announcement makes Grammer a father of eight. He also shares a daughter, Spencer, 41, with first wife Doreen Alderman, and daughter Greer, 33, with ex-girlfriend Barrie Buckner. Additionally, he has two children, Mason, 23, and Jude, 20, with ex-wife Meyer.
“It’s fantastic — the energy is magnificent. I’m as young as they are,” Grammer expressed to Closer Weekly about fatherhood in June 2018. “[My wife] has a pristine and extraordinary ability to love. She loves being pregnant and being a mom.”
Grammer elaborated on how being older has allowed him to enjoy fatherhood more.
“When you reach a certain age, you don’t worry about your career the same way,” he noted, recognizing that in earlier years, “your kids get a little lost in the shuffle, and you end up regretting it.”
During that time, Grammer couldn’t resist praising his youngest children.
“My youngest son, James, is walking, and talking, and eating all the time,” he said. “And my four-year-old, Gabriel, is starting to figure out stuff. They discover things every day. It’s wonderful.”
