Kelsey Parker Honors Her Late Son: A Heartfelt Tribute from Tom Parker’s Widow
Kelsey Parker, the widow of Tom Parker, has publicly shared the heartbreaking news of the loss of her son.
“Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, you will forever be cherished,” Kelsey expressed in a post on Instagram shared on Sunday, June 22. Her message included a poignant poem that captured the sorrow of losing her third child, whom she was expecting with her boyfriend, Will Lindsay.
“For Phoenix, Born Sleeping, Forever Loved,” the poem began. “The world grew silent as you came / So beloved, so awaited, yet without name / Our precious boy, our guiding light / Born with wings, took silent flight. We named you Phoenix, brave and bright / A soul of warmth, of love and light / Though we never heard your cry / You’ll reside in hearts that won’t ask why. No breath you took, no eyes to see / Still, you hold the universe for me / You’ll walk with us, gently near / In every sigh, in every tear.”
Kelsey also posted a note via her Instagram Stories, requesting privacy for her family during this challenging period.
“Before I receive a flood of kind messages and heartfelt wishes, I want to acknowledge and appreciate each one,” she wrote. “But given the sensitivity of the news, I would really like to request space and time for my family to process this devastating news.”
Kelsey has already faced the profound loss of her late husband, who passed away in March 2022 at the age of 33 after battling stage four glioblastoma. Together, they had two children: Aurelia, 5, and Bodhi, 4.
In January, Kelsey confirmed her pregnancy to The Mirror, explaining that she and her late husband had wanted to expand their family prior to his death.
“Tom and I always said we wanted four — but life had other plans,” she shared. “So yes, this is wonderful yet bittersweet. The happiness of finding out I’m pregnant comes with the acknowledgment that my life could have looked very different. I’ve felt a whirlwind of emotions.”
She added, “I’m still processing everything, but I’m filled with excitement. I know I’m opening up by sharing this news. I simply want everyone to feel the happiness I’m experiencing.”
Her partner Will, excited about becoming a father, shared that he has grown close to Kelsey’s two children.
“We just clicked so well, it felt so natural,” he reflected. “I want to be as involved as I can. I take Bodhi to football games or to the park on weekends, and we cherish that time together. Kelsey has two wonderful kids, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have them in my life. Everything has unfolded so smoothly; it doesn’t feel forced or rushed at all.”
