Kelvin Banks Jr.’s Baby’s Adorable Reaction Goes Viral During NFL Draft
The newest member of the New Orleans Saints, Kelvin Banks Jr., had a heartwarming moment as his baby son reacted to his father’s NFL draft news!
Banks, just 21 years old, was selected as the No. 9 pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on April 24, following his time with the Texas Longhorns.
Emotional scenes unfolded as Banks learned he was drafted by the Saints, captured during the SEC Network’s coverage. He was seen hiding his face with a cap while shedding a tear, taking in the monumental moment.
Meanwhile, attentive viewers on social media noticed another emotional scene unfolding beside Banks. His infant son, Khalil, was seen being held by his mother and appeared to vomit during the touching moment. (Banks and his partner, Demetria Bolden, first revealed they were expecting a child last November.)

This amusing moment quickly went viral, with one X user commenting, “We just had a baby throw up during the NFL Draft.”
Another remarked, “Kelvin Banks the 3rd thinks the #saints isn’t a good fit.”
Though Khalil momentarily stole the spotlight, Banks received plenty of support from his partner as the draft progressed.
“What a mighty God we serve! This day truly came quickly. I remember us at 15, discussing our dreams, and now here we are, almost six years later, achieving what we said we would. Nobody matches your determination or passion,” Bolden expressed her admiration for Banks via her Instagram Story on Thursday.
“It’s always been you vs. you. I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see you shine at the next level. This is just the beginning, baby! Lil K and I love you so much. You lead the way, and I’ll always be right there with you,” she included alongside a photo of her kissing Banks on the sidelines during a game.
In another Instagram Story, Bolden showcased a picture of little Khalil wearing a dazzling chain that read, “Bank on it.”
Banks was joined by Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, Mason Graham, Ashton Jeanty, Armand Membou, Tetairoa McMillan, and Colston Loveland as the top 10 picks of this year’s NFL Draft.
