Kim Kardashian Reveals the Secret to Achieving the ‘Perfect Boob’ Look with Skims Bodysuit
Kim Kardashian discussed the ideal times to use fashion tape with plunging outfits, referencing her Skims bodysuit for added support.
Kardashian, 45, took to Instagram on December 17 to showcase the effectiveness of her shapewear while donning a low-cut top. “I’ve discovered my ultimate hack in the world,” she shared. “That is creating a Skims shapewear bodysuit that makes it seem as if you’re braless and naked underneath,” she added. “However, I need some support.”
“I need to feel at ease — and I used to rely on tape,” she explained. “I apply the tape when it’s hidden from view.” Pointing to her back, she gestured that if the tape isn’t visible through the top, it’s still a viable option. “There is a time and place for everything,” she remarked.
“When everything else is covered, you definitely need a bodysuit!” she exclaimed. “I’m about to show you my absolute favorite item in the world.”
Kardashian then unbuttoned her top to reveal the flesh-toned bodysuit, which boasted a “deep plunge” and halter straps. “The back can be styled in numerous ways. It can be straight like a tank top, but I prefer the halter as it supports me really well,” she added.
The Skims founder transitioned from her initial look, which featured a satin top with cape sleeves, a sage green skirt with a thigh-high slit, and fishnet stockings, to showcase the bodysuit with another outfit.
“It’s somewhat sheer, so I don’t want to use tape because it might be visible,” she explained while slipping into a black dress with a bust cutout, long sleeves, and a fitted, sheer skirt. “There we have it,” she exclaimed. “It appears as though my breasts are perfectly positioned.”
“This is the effect of tape with a bodysuit,” Kardashian praised. “It seems like I have naturally flawless breasts.”
“My favorite bodysuit from @skims,” she captioned the post. Her celebrity friends and fans complimented the design in the comments.
“Best bodysuit ever!!! 😍🔥,” wrote Olivia Pierson, while Amanda Hirsch added, “Perfection.” Other fans chimed in with, “I’m so happy y’all finally did this because I’ve been NEEDING!!!” and “I’m buying it right now.”
Kardashian previously launched Skims body tape in 2019.
“We are introducing boob tape and it will be available in three nude shades,” she stated on Instagram at the time. “When I started using fashion tape, I’d use gaffer’s tape, which was incredibly uncomfortable. But this material is super soft and stretchy — but not excessively stretchy, as it needs to provide support,” she continued.
“This material is fantastic to use. It doesn’t tear off the skin as gaffer’s tape used to do,” she explained, noting that it previously caused her to suffer from “scabs and burns.”
Back in 2008, she shared images of herself using duct tape to achieve the lifted look before opting for a skin-friendly material.
