Kourtney Kardashian’s Son Rocky Steps into Travis Barker’s Shoes
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker may soon have a young rock star in their midst.
The founder of Lemme shared several images from her family’s recent Disneyland trip on Instagram on Sunday, April 6. One photo captured the tiny hands of her youngest son, Rocky, as he played the keys on a Yamaha piano.
Barker, 49, is famously known as the drummer for the pop-rock band Blink-182, and he and Kardashian, 45, showcased their musical talent together in 2021 when Barker’s daughter Alabama posted a video of them singing “Heart and Soul” from the movie Big.
The family celebrated Rocky’s first birthday in November 2024. In addition to Rocky, Kourtney and Travis’ blended family includes Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, whom she shares with ex Scott Disick; along with Travis’ children from his marriage to Shanna Moakler, Alabama, 19, and Landon, 21, as well as Atiana De La Hoya, 26, who is Travis’ stepdaughter through Moakler.
Kardashian and Barker tied the knot in May 2022 and welcomed Rocky the following year. They shared their emotional journey to parenthood with followers on social media in May 2024, revealing they had experienced five “failed IVF cycles” and three egg retrievals before conceiving Rocky naturally.
Kardashian stated in an Instagram Story, “I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God’s plan for my life.”
“Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us,” she added. “Also lots of optimizing my health. I know how hard it is to feel like you’re not trying, but believing in God’s plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. All the best!”
Kardashian faced complications during her pregnancy with her youngest child. “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock,” she shared via Instagram in September 2023.
“And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” she continued. “As someone who has had three really smooth pregnancies before, I wasn’t prepared for the anxiety of rushing into urgent fetal surgery.”
News of Rocky’s birth was reported by TMZ and People on November 4, 2023. Just a month prior to Rocky’s arrival, Barker disclosed during an interview for Complex’s “GOAT Talk” video series that they had chosen the name Rocky Thirteen in honor of the guitarist of the band Suicidal Tendencies.
He also mentioned that the first name could pay homage to the legendary 1976 film Rocky, which he referred to as “the greatest boxing movie of all time.”
