Kristen Bell’s Hilarious Struggle to Sit in a Corset at the Golden Globes
Kristen Bell understands the struggle of sitting in a fitted corset.
On January 6, actress Jackie Tohn took to Instagram to post a funny video of Bell, 44, trying to seat herself at the 2025 Golden Globes, which took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 5.
In the footage, Bell attempts to lower herself into her seat, sporting an Ashi Studio outfit that features a corset with a structured neckline, a peplum detail, and a floor-length glittery skirt. To appear casual, she leans awkwardly against the back of the chair, her arm resting there.
“Sit down! Get comfortable!” Tohn, 44, jested from off-camera. Bell responded with, “I can’t!” while giving a thumbs-up and a wink to the camera.

“@kristenanniebell too pretty to sit,” Tohn captioned her post.
Even though Bell’s outfit made it tricky to relax, she appeared stunning in her sequined attire and shimmering accessories, which included a large diamond ring, a wrap bracelet, and matching earrings.
Bell’s glam was beautifully complemented by filled-in eyebrows, nude eyeshadow, rosy cheeks, and pink lips. Her bronde hair was parted down the middle and styled into an elegant updo.
At this year’s awards, Bell was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Comedy, for her role as Joanne in Nobody Wants This. The award went to Jean Smart for her performance in Hacks.
Kristen Bell isn’t the only celebrity to experience challenges sitting in a gown at the Golden Globes. Last year, Dua Lipa faced a similar situation while wearing a body-hugging Schiaparelli dress adorned with gold embellishments shaped like a skeleton and a pleated mermaid skirt.
In January 2024, she posted a video of the moment on Instagram, initially leaning against her chair before surrendering and dropping into the seat with a goofy smile for the camera.
