Kyle Cooke Reacts to Amanda Excluding Him from 2016 Photo Before Their Breakup

Summer House’s Kyle Cooke appeared to have some concerns regarding his now-estranged wife, Amanda Batula, for leaving him out of a throwback post from 2016, which came just days before they announced their separation.

In the comments of Amanda’s post, which showcased a montage of images from 2016, Cooke, 43, remarked, “I guess I was never in your camera roll.”

“2016,” Batula, 34, captioned the post, shared only five days prior to the couple’s joint statement on Instagram regarding their split.

“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” Batula and Cooke stated in their social media announcement, posted on Monday, January 19. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”

The message further stated, “It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time, since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship, but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we navigate our next chapter.”

Speculation about troubles in their marriage first arose in November 2025, when reports suggested they were living apart amidst relationship issues. However, a source close to the couple told Us Weekly that this was unfounded, while acknowledging their difficulties.

“They are going through a challenging time,” the insider shared, noting that both were “committed to making the relationship work.”

Just days later, during BravoCon 2025, the couple’s Summer House costar Lindsay Hubbard reassured Us that their marriage remained strong.

“It’s like any relationship; there are ups and downs,” Hubbard told Us at the time, reminding fans that they’ve been witnessing Cooke and Batula’s “journey for 10 years,” filled with various challenges.

“I know that they’re so in love with each other, and they’re very much together,” Hubbard emphasized, downplaying their current rough patch as “no big deal.”

Over the years in the reality TV spotlight, fans have seen Cooke and Batula tackle multiple relationship hurdles, including his infidelity confession in 2018 and their ongoing discussions about starting a family.

“We’re just trying to find our way while dealing with the show and the incredibly stressful business I’m running,” Cooke commented to Us in February 2024. “It’s overwhelming. I feel like our dogs have inadvertently slowed down our family planning… So we’re just taking it one day at a time.”

A year later, Batula revealed that the topic of family planning was still a significant issue for them.

“He’s going to have to be on my page. If he could grow the baby, it would be on his timeline. But it’s happening in my body,” she shared with Us in May. “There was a whole lot this [last] season of him expressing the desire to be a father and, like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, but he’s having these conversations with everyone else and not with the person who’s supposed to carry his child. If he was actively saying, ‘Hey, I want to have kids. We should start trying,’ that would be different. But that’s not happening.”

Cooke and Batula’s relationship will once again — potentially for the last time — be showcased when Summer House returns for its tenth season next month, featuring a conflict between the estranged couple regarding Cooke’s DJ career, among other reveal in the official teaser.
