Kylie Kelce Explains Why Jason Kelce Feels ‘Blessed’ to Have Four Daughters
Kylie Kelce has a theory about why “the universe” determined her husband Jason Kelce would become a girl dad multiple times.
“I believe he has a rather distorted perception of women, which might explain why he has four daughters,” Kylie, 33, shared in an exclusive clip for Us Weekly from this week’s episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, hosted by Amanda Hirsch. “It’s as if the universe said: ‘He doesn’t quite grasp it. We need to enlighten him.’”
Kylie and Jason, 37, are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 2, and their youngest, 3-week-old Finn.
“Growing up with just a brother and his only female influences being his mom and his dog,” she said, mentioning Jason’s younger sibling, Travis Kelce, and their mother, Donna Kelce.
“I don’t think he really understood women in a deeper sense,” Kylie added. “When we started dating and he introduced me to his family, his parents were like, ‘Oh, he’s actually dating someone.’ It was a surprise to them.”
Kylie mentioned that she was “perhaps the second” girl Jason ever brought home to meet the family. “In his adult life, I was the first,” she clarified.
“It was nice, but at the same time, I wondered if I should even be there because they seemed so shocked. Why are you so surprised he’s maintaining a long-term relationship?” Kylie joked. “Why is that a shock?”
Kylie and Jason famously matched on Tinder, and she noted that after a marriage and four children, they still have a great connection. “I just don’t need much,” she confessed. “He understands my needs. It’s very simple. Just walk by me in the kitchen and give me a little smack. That’s all I need. We’re good. Physical touch is one of my love languages.”
Their discussion about Jason arose after Hirsch pondered what the former NFL player would do to celebrate Kylie’s 33rd birthday, which she celebrated on March 23.
“I’m not a fan of my birthday,” she admitted, acknowledging that Jason finds thoughtful ways to celebrate, regardless of her indifference toward her own special day.
“He always does something, but it’s those subtle little things that I actually appreciate,” Kylie explained. “He always gets me a card, which I love.”
Kylie elaborated that Jason would “write a note” on the entire inside of the card before giving it to her.
“He knows that’s a tradition in our family — cards, no matter what,” she continued. “He usually brings flowers too.”
