Kylie Kelce Responds to Rumor About Jason Not Watching Their Kids

Kylie Kelce emphasizes that critics have misinterpreted her past comments about hiring babysitters while her husband, Jason Kelce, is at home.

“The situation was taken so out of context that I was upset about it for months,” Kylie, 34, stated during the Wednesday, March 25, episode of the “Conversations With Cam” podcast. “At some point, you can clarify the situation, but how often should you do that? If I want to discuss it, I will; if I don’t, I won’t.”

In December 2024, Kylie stirred conversation by sharing that she would hire a babysitter even if Jason, 38, was home with their kids. (The couple has daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, 3, and Finn, who turns 1 year old on Monday, March 30.)

“How do I phrase this politely? No,” Kylie remarked on the debut episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “When I need to do something — coaching, work for the Eagles Autism Foundation, something for my podcast, even a doctor’s appointment — I will arrange childcare. My husband could tell me 72 times he’ll be home when I have to leave, and I will still hire childcare.”

Kylie further explained that their schedule is unpredictable now that Jason is retired from the NFL, making it difficult to anticipate when he can watch their kids.

After the episode aired, online critics slammed Kylie for appearing to not allow Jason to care for their children.

“Tell me you don’t trust your husband, without telling him you don’t trust him,” an Instagram user commented on a clip from the podcast.

Another user added, “It’s really sad that a guy can’t look after his kids.”

In response to the backlash on Wednesday, Kylie said, “It was taken so out of context because people were saying, ‘You won’t let Jason watch your kids.’ And I’m like, ‘What do you mean, let him watch the kids? They’re his kids too.’ I’m not allowing him to do anything. They’re f***ing his.”

Kylie reiterated her reasons for hiring a babysitter.

“When I first addressed this on the podcast, Jason was during the football season for ESPN,” she explained. “He had numerous commitments where his schedule was chaotic, and still is, but not to the same extent. There was minimal structure.”

Kylie Kelce is unbothered by the critics commenting on her life or her new podcast project. “My producer, Queen Emma, has compiled some of the feedback we’ve received the past few weeks,” Kelce, 32, mentioned during the Thursday, January 2, episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast. “One of […]

Kylie added, “And there were times when he might sit there and say, ‘I have nothing planned for the rest of the day.’ Then someone would call, and he’d be on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour. Those calls aren’t situations where you can have kids making noise in the background.”

She also noted that she had a “sarcastic” tone in her original remarks.

“It’s always about how someone chooses to twist it,” she pointed out.
