Lala Kent Shares Update on Pre-Cancerous Eye Growth and Chemotherapy Treatment

Lala Kent is currently undergoing treatment for a health concern.

On Wednesday, May 14, Kent, 34, shared an update on her Instagram Story about a troubling growth near her right eye.

“Hey everyone, I have an update regarding my eye,” the Vanderpump Rules alum communicated in a video while cradling her infant daughter Sosa. “I received a text from the doctor after my visit last night at 10:30 p.m. and I’m incredibly thankful. He mentioned, ‘The specialist can see you tomorrow at 9 a.m.’ So I was there this morning, and after examining it, she informed me it’s pre-cancer, and advised, ‘I want to start you on chemotherapy drops.’”

Kent continued: “I know this sounds frightening. Of course, I cried because … when you hear the word [cancer], it’s terrifying. She explained, ‘We’ll do the chemo drops for three months: one week on, three weeks off, and repeat for three months.’ We’re hoping this treatment will eliminate all cancerous cells. If it doesn’t, we’ll address that situation when the time comes. That’s my update.”

Earlier this week, Kent initially disclosed her eye issue through her Instagram Stories, capturing a close-up of her eye with a small yet distinct pink bump near her pupil.

“I know I’ve shown this a million times, but I can’t help but obsess over it,” she tearfully mentioned in a message on Tuesday, May 13. “It started about a month and a half, two months ago, with a slight discoloration that I found really strange. Then about a week and a half ago, it appeared to resemble a blister.”

On that same day, she visited a doctor who ordered a biopsy. Later that night, Kent shared another Instagram Story from her bed, expressing her worries.

“I often tell friends in health struggles, ‘It’s going to be fine. We’ll tackle things as they come.’ Yet now that I’m in this situation, all I can do is sit here and stress, imagining every negative scenario. All the advice I provide others completely slips my mind.”

Kent is the mother of two daughters: Sosa, 8 months, conceived through a sperm donor, and Ocean, 4, whom she co-parents with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett.

“We’ve had our challenges over the years, but we finally got everything organized and resolved our custody issues. I serve as the stable home base for my child, and we maintain a good routine,” Kent said regarding her co-parenting situation with Emmett, 45, during her appearance on “The Morning After” podcast on Monday, May 12. “There’s structure and bedtime, while he often goes for a more spontaneous approach.”

Kent acknowledged that she “tries to keep it cool” with Emmett, but expressed frustration when he recently had Ocean on a late-night flight before a school day.

“I’m like, ‘Can we please get it together for just five minutes?’” Kent shared. “Everything is fine, but I’m just saying, ‘You’re getting me worked up.’”
