Landman Recap: Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Has a Revealing Moment on ED Pills
The latest episode of Landman opened with a surprising scene featuring Billy Bob Thornton’s character Tommy, who inadvertently exposed himself after taking extra erectile dysfunction pills.
In the Sunday, December 28, episode of the popular Paramount+ series, Tommy (Thornton) is shown waking up in a hotel room while a hotel staff member delivers his room service breakfast. In his sleep, Tommy let out a fart before rolling over, inadvertently giving viewers a glimpse of his naked front.
The hotel worker screamed and asked Tommy not to “rape” her, prompting Angela (Ali Larter) to rush in from the bathroom.
“Put your d*** away!” Angela told Tommy, then shifted her focus to the hotel staff member. “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t meant for you. He takes [erectile dysfunction medication] Cialis like candy and runs into door frames all morning with that thing. I apologize for that.”
Angela expressed her irritation with Tommy for exposing himself, stating, “I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed… That is not the most flattering angle of your ball sack, by the way. You really have to love a man to view him from that perspective. Poor thing. If she wasn’t a lesbian when she walked in here, she’s definitely one now.”
She continued: “I’m getting dressed. My husband exposing himself to the waitstaff really kills the mood.”
Tommy countered that it was his ex-wife who suggested he “take an extra pill” the night before. “Now, what do I do with this f***ing thing?” he questioned. “I might f*** the whole breakfast. The waffles, the fruit, the goddamn bagel, and the omelette. The omelette is the first thing getting f****d. You better order another one because this one is f*****.”
This argument led to continued tension between Angela and Tommy throughout the weekend. Upon returning home at the end of the episode, Angela was preparing taco night at the Norris household, but all Tommy received was an omelette. Despite their troubles, the fictional couple managed to resolve their differences… for the time being.
In another subplot of the episode, Angela and Tommy’s son, Cooper (Jacob Lofland), proposed to his girlfriend Ariana (Paulina Chavez). Meanwhile, Rebecca (Kayla Wallace) faced worries about her secret relationship with Charlie (Guy Burnet). However, Tommy seemed unconcerned about Rebecca’s romantic entanglements within the company.
“Viewers will begin to see more flaws in her personality,” Wallace recently revealed to Us Weekly exclusively. “She’s definitely going to confront some challenges in her job as well.”
Wallace specifically highlighted that Rebecca’s new position at M-Tex Oil will present its own set of difficulties, explaining, “This is such a significant transition for her. She’s always questioning her life and reassessing everything.”
But fans need not worry too much.
“We also see her growing into this family. M-Tex is in trouble, and she steps in immediately,” she emphasized. “You see a contrast where it’s not easy for her to be part of a team. She’s often a lone wolf, but she’s starting to connect with the family a bit.”
Season 2 will reveal “more facets” of who Rebecca truly is. “In Season 1, she rarely smiled. Now, we’re beginning to see her humanity. She’s not just perfectly put together,” Wallace elaborated. “She has her flaws, which I’m delighted to explore. Audiences will witness even more of that — more of her human side.”
New episodes of Landman season 2 premiere on Paramount+ every Sunday.
