‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8: Which Couples Are Still Together?
We’re currently in the middle of Season 8 of “Love Is Blind,” where the five engaged couples are navigating a series of ups and downs after beginning their lives together.
The initial episodes, released on February 14, featured 32 singles from Minneapolis mingling with one another, all in search of their perfect match behind a wall. Several couples found love within the pods, while others faced emotional heartbreak.
As expected by fans of “Love Is Blind,” a number of love triangles emerged, prompting some contestants to express their feelings while others began to question their relationships.
In a conversation with TODAY.com, Vanessa and Nick Lachey, the hosts of the U.S. version of the show, shared their insights on why this season features so much action within the pods.
“The contestants didn’t come in with the mindset of ‘We need to get engaged right away,’” Vanessa Lachey stated about the participants. “They really peeled back the layers of themselves and their partnerships to dive deeper.”
Nick Lachey noted that the location of this season has influenced the cast’s dynamics as well.
“Minnesota represents the Midwest,” he explained. “It’s a unique pool of people. Each season varies, and in this case, what viewers will find is that it’s very, very… I don’t want to describe it as sweet, but it’s heartwarming.”
By the conclusion of Episode 6, five couples chose to marry each other without having seen one another, while two pairs acknowledged they weren’t ready to advance to the next stage.
The next set of episodes, released on February 21, followed the engaged couples as they vacationed in Honduras and later moved into their upscale Minneapolis apartments. As they met friends and family, many grappled with uncomfortable discussions and skepticism.

Season 8 couples still together
Devin and Virginia
Devin Buckley and Virginia Miller formed a connection in the pods after realizing they both graduated from the same Minnesota high school. However, Devin, a 29-year-old youth director and coach, attended the school a few years after Virginia, a 34-year-old healthcare recruiter, graduated, so they’d never met.
During their time in the pods, Devin briefly connected with Brittany Dodson, but their relationship faltered when Brittany perceived him as too “rigid.” He recognized this and continued to pursue Virginia, who had been cautious and doubtful during many of their interactions.
In Episode 6, Devin penned a heartfelt letter to Virginia, expressing his feelings: “Virginia, you are the most kind, loving, and genuine person I’ve ever met. I know your past relationships left you feeling insecure and undervalued. I promise to always make you feel valued and loved, and to treat you like the queen you are.”
In his letter, he professed his love for Virginia and proposed marriage. Her soft reply was, “Yes, I will.” Later, in tears, she shared with the cameras, “I’ve never felt this way before. I just feel amazing. Today’s a wonderful day.”
While in Honduras, Virginia and Devin enjoyed their time together, although a minor disagreement arose concerning their move-in. After touring their apartments and discussing their future, Virginia proposed drafting a prenup to clarify financial boundaries and assert their individual rights over their pre-existing assets. This caught Devin off guard, and he appeared hesitant to accept.
When Devin introduced Virginia to his family, he mentioned the potential prenuptial agreement. His family, particularly his sister Kayla, expressed concerns and wondered if Virginia was already having doubts about the marriage.
Daniel and Taylor

Daniel Hastings and Taylor Haag matched each other’s vibe from the get-go. He made a playful marriage proposal joke shortly after they met, and she joined in the fun. When Taylor, a 32-year-old colonoscopy nurse, returned to share her excitement with the girls, she voiced her fondness for Daniel, a 30-year-old sales account executive, who talked about wanting to find the mother of his children.
Their mutual love for Christmas brought them closer together — in Episode 5, they exchanged Christmas ornaments and stockings and marveled at their shared interests. “The Christmas connection is really meaningful for me,” Daniel expressed. “But even if Christmas weren’t a theme, I feel we were always bound to meet.”
Taylor responded, stating that Daniel made her feel “very special, loved, and important,” and declared that his words were the kindest she had ever received.
In Episode 6, he read her a letter that outlined his love for her. “My only desire is to ensure you feel safe and happy every day of your life,” he shared before kneeling to propose.
“I would love to marry you!” she enthusiastically replied.
However, Episode 6 concluded on a cliffhanger, as the joyful atmosphere between Daniel and Taylor shifted dramatically. After seeing each other for the first time, Taylor expressed her unease, stating she felt she recognized Daniel. She recalled that someone who resembled him had briefly followed her on social media before she left to film the show.
Taylor brought up her concerns with Daniel, worried he might have prior insight into her life from her online profile, which he denied knowing anything about. To clarify, she searched her past followers on Instagram. Once she could not locate his name, she apologized, and he was understanding, expressing his desire to continue their trip in Honduras.
The couple quickly reconciled and enjoyed their time in Honduras. Upon returning home, they introduced their families to each other and spoke highly of their relationship. Daniel also presented Taylor’s family to his parents, emphasizing that for them, divorce was never an option.
David and Lauren

David “Dave” Bettenburg and Lauren O’Brien found themselves tangled in a love triangle during Season 8. Age 33 and a medical device salesman, Dave struggled to decide between Lauren, a 31-year-old education saleswoman, and Molly Mulaney. Once Lauren recognized Dave’s indecision, she confided in him that she wasn’t pursuing other connections.
During this time, Molly hoped Dave would choose her and leave Lauren behind. However, in Episode 5, Dave, distressed, confided in Molly that he preferred to “see things through” with Lauren. While Molly acknowledged her hurt feelings, she accepted that it was simply not meant to be.
Later, when Dave met Lauren, they both acknowledged that even through challenging conversations, they valued their transparency, which allowed them to move forward.
He expressed gratitude for her patience, emphasizing how much it helped him understand his feelings. “I’m so in love with you,” he said, ultimately leading to his proposal, which she happily accepted with, “I love you so much, too. I’m excited to start our future together.”
Throughout the pods, Dave often emphasized the influence of his sister’s opinions regarding his partners. Despite viewers not having met her yet, her potential disapproval and the hesitance of Dave’s friends impacted his relationship with Lauren as the series progressed.
Upon their return to Minneapolis, Dave voiced his frustration that friends and family were made aware of his engagement before he personally informed them. He further revealed that an acquaintance had suggested he had been seeing Lauren until she participated in “Love Is Blind.” Lauren countered that their “casual fling” had already ended before she joined the show, dismissing the acquaintance’s narrative as an attempt to create drama.
Despite support from Lauren’s friends, a trust issue lingered for Dave, straining their relationship as the wedding day approached.
Joey and Monica

Joey Leveille and Monica Danus enjoyed a drama-free experience in the pods. Joey, a 35-year-old physician associate, and Monica, a 28-year-old digital marketer, connected over their spirited personalities and a mutual love for “The Sound of Music.” Joey offered support to Monica when she disclosed her job search, which she took time off from to help her family.
By Episode 2, they both expressed a clear desire to get engaged, making them the first official couple of Season 8. “I’ve loved falling for you, your personality, your laugh, your voice, and I would love to take the next step,” Joey said.
“Will you get engaged with me?” he asked.
She joyfully replied, “Yes!” and excitedly ran to share the news with her friends.
During their trip to Honduras, Joey and Monica continued discovering each other’s quirks, even uncovering her family’s unique “sock bin.” Their relationship seemed to be on a smooth track until Joey encountered Monica’s family.
While her parents warmly welcomed Joey and invited him to join their family jam session, Monica’s older sister, Nicolle, observed him warily. Nicolle later pulled Monica aside for a private talk, revealing her concerns that Joey wasn’t her sister’s normal type and that she always felt she would be the first in the family to marry.
At their apartment, Joey sensed Nicolle’s lack of warmth towards him. After Monica revealed her conversation with Nicolle, Joey speculated that jealousy may have influenced Nicolle’s discontent.
Ben and Sara

Ben Mezzenga and Sara Carton faced a moment of tension in the pods while discussing their core values. In Episode 2, Sara, a 29-year-old oncology nurse, asked Ben, a 28-year-old developer, about his upbringing in a Christian household. He shared his beliefs, only for Sara to reveal she wasn’t religious.
Sara explained, “The main challenge I face regarding religion comes from my sister, Lisa. She’s my best friend and she’s gay.” She asked if Ben would feel comfortable in that environment and alongside Pride events.
“I don’t feel discomfort around the LGBTQ+ community at all,” he replied. While she felt confident about their connection, doubts crept back when they reconvened in Episode 4, as topics about Donald Trump’s presidency and the Black Lives Matter movement arose.
“I’m quite ignorant on those matters. I didn’t vote in the last election. As long as I don’t engage, it shouldn’t matter,” Ben said. When she inquired about his views on BLM, he simply responded, “I’m neutral. I prefer to stay out of it.”
Sara remarked, “I find it essential to contemplate these issues.” Disappointed with his responses, she noted, “I need a partner who shares my belief in basic human rights and equality.”
Ben reassured her in Episode 5 that their values were compatible, stating, “You shouldn’t feel the pressure to educate me; I have the motivation to grow and believe our beliefs align.” He then proposed.
“I feel at peace and accepted by you,” she expressed after accepting his proposal. “I can’t imagine life with anyone else.”
Upon reaching Honduras, the couple quickly decided to enhance their emotional bond by exploring their physical relationship. When all the engaged couples reunited, Ben and Sara couldn’t stop complimenting their rapport.
In Minneapolis, Sara met some of Ben’s friends, discussing their earlier conversations regarding values. His friends affirmed that he was indeed inclusive.
Sara and Ben’s relationship continued to flourish until they encountered a troubling discussion in Episode 9. She gasped after discovering that a TikTok user had questioned certain “problematic men” from Season 8, without naming anyone.
Ben, who had already seen the video, speculated, “I think she must be referring to me.” He also revealed that he had blocked the user, and she had done the same with him.
As Sara probed for more elaboration, he admitted it had been over four years since he last spoke to the woman, leaving him “uncertain” about what more might unfold. He also said she was “overreacting.” Sara warned him that if he wasn’t completely open, it could jeopardize the trust in their relationship.
Season 8 couples no longer together
Alex and Madison

Alex Brown and Madison Errichiello shared their challenging childhood experiences in the pods. Both bullied as children, Alex, a 29-year-old commercial real estate broker, and Madison, a 28-year-old artist, seemed on track for an engagement until Madison opened up about her avoidant attachment style. This caused Alex to withdraw and abruptly end their conversation.
When they reconvened, Alex expressed apprehension that Madison would retreat during tough times. She reassured him that the very fact she was still in the experiment showcased her commitment to navigating challenges together. Simultaneously, Madison was also attracted to Mason Horacen.
Mason declared he was “committed” to Madison, but when she opted to focus on Alex, Mason felt remorseful about his words. In Episode 6, Madison shared this predicament with Alex.
Alex voiced his empathy for Mason and wished him well. However, Madison felt let down by Alex’s lack of comfort toward her situation. Following their tense dialogue, Alex acknowledged he could envision a future together, yet he warned about potential communication and disagreement hurdles. “At this stage, a proposal seems like a significant leap; I don’t believe we’re quite there yet,” he indicated.
Madison left the pods emotionally and withdrew from the experiment.
Speaking to TODAY.com, Alex shared that he had no regrets about the end of their relationship.
“I was certain of my decision. Should we have the chance to revisit it, I believe it would unfold the same way. I’m grateful for how we brought our issues to light early on rather than moving forward to a proposal, only to face the complexities of cohabitation later; that would have been a lot more chaotic,” he said.
His decision rested on their varying attachment styles and conflict resolution approaches, which surfaced in the pods. “It became clear to me that we processed conflict differently, which is fine, but we are clearly not on the same page, leading me to doubt if communication would be simple,” he remarked.

Mason and Meg

Mason, a 33-year-old cinematographer, connected with Meg Fink, a 31-year-old oncology nurse, during their time in the pods. She openly discussed her conspiracy theories and strong opinions, although she was aware that Mason also had feelings for Madison.
After Madison withdrew from their connection, she confided in Meg about the events. Meg confronted Mason at the conclusion of Episode 5, questioning if she was merely his “second choice” due to Madison’s rejection.
Mason explained he had validated the “wrong person” because of his own confusion at the time.
“At the end of the day, you were my first choice all along,” he asserted, to which Meg replied, “That wasn’t the case yesterday, just to be fair.” Mason had not confirmed his feelings for her until it was too late.
“I’ll never be sure if what you’re saying is truthful because we lack the opportunity for you to choose me,” she declared in Episode 6. “I can’t move on from that.”
Mason recognized her point of view, and they parted ways.
