Malcolm in the Middle Cast: What Are They Up to Now?
Malcolm in the Middle showcased a spirited charm that secured its place as one of the standout TV series of the early 2000s — and fans are still eager to catch up with the cast.
This comedy, which presented a fictionalized account of middle child Malcolm Wilkerson (Frankie Muniz), explored the Wilkerson family’s challenges of living in a low-income and dysfunctional household, highlighting all the ups and downs that accompanied their lives. The sitcom illustrated the complexities of family dynamics — and even the most eccentric relatives can’t compete with the Wilkersons.
During its seven-season run, spanning from 2000 to 2006, the show accrued 33 Emmy nominations, winning seven, along with seven Golden Globe nominations. Muniz captured the essence of the genius child Malcolm, while the Wilkerson family was also made up of two older brothers — Francis Wilkerson (Christopher Masterson) and Reese Wilkerson (Justin Berfield) — along with the youngest, Dewey Wilkerson (Erik Per Sullivan). The cast was completed with Cloris Leachman as grandma Ida.
More than ten years after Malcolm in the Middle concluded, the Wilkerson family remains a favorite among numerous devoted fans, and in December 2024, Disney+ announced a limited four-episode revival featuring Muniz, Cranston, and Kaczmarek.
