Margot Robbie looked regal at the Wuthering Heights premiere.
At the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday, January 28, the 35-year-old actress dazzled in a Schiaparelli gown featuring a strapless sweetheart neckline and a sheer bodice embellished with exquisite black lace. The skirt made a striking statement with its black drop-waist, a large bow at the back, and a vivid cherry red hem that flared out beautifully.
As she graced the red carpet in her role as Catherine Earnshaw, Robbie shared insights about her ensemble. When a reporter inquired about her attire, she playfully covered her chest and exclaimed, “Elizabeth Taylor’s necklace!” showcasing the stunning piece and adding, “Isn’t it cool?” according to Bustle’s TikTok.
The necklace featured a sizable heart-shaped diamond set on a twisted gold chain. Known as the Taj Mahal diamond, this historical gem, inscribed with Nur Janan’s name—the wife of Mughal emperor Shah Jahangir—also carries the engraving “Love is Everlasting.” It was auctioned for $8.8 million in 2011. Robbie complemented her look with crystal dangling earrings.
Robbie further shared with Extra TV that the necklace “felt like it had a lot of romantic history,” which “felt fitting for tonight.”
Bustle noted that the necklace elegantly cascaded down Robbie’s back, adorned with tassels. She also mentioned wearing Taylor’s “cape,” which her assistant carried for her.
“She wore it in The Taming of the Shrew,” she reminisced about the 1967 film. “When she’s riding a horse,” Robbie added.

Robbie mentioned to Extra TV that the movie offers the “perfect date night.”
“It’s great for Valentine’s, it’s also wonderful for Galentine’s. It’s just a fantastic night out,” she added.
