Married at First Sight’s Brittany Looks Back on Surprising Split from Will
Married at First Sight’s Brittany is currently navigating her feelings about her marriage and subsequent divorce from Will.
“As I reflected on how we ended things, I started to think, ‘I really don’t believe he was ever prepared for marriage,’” Brittany expressed on the Wednesday, November 26, episode of the “What’s the Reality?” podcast. “The manner in which our breakup occurred was so sudden, and his ability to completely detach from me signifies that he may not have truly wanted marriage in the first place.”
In season 19 of Married at First Sight, experts such as Pastor Cal Roberson, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Pia Holec paired Brittany and Will as spouses before they had even met each other.
On Decision Day, which takes place eight weeks post-wedding, Will contacted his wife to inform her of his decision to break up. Although the experts convinced them to remain together, both Brittany and Will confirmed their separation during the reunion episode.
When podcast host Amber Desiree “AD” Smith asked if Will was not ready for marriage or simply not ready for Brittany, the reality star shared her insights.
“At the time, I definitely thought it was my fault,” she recounted, reflecting on how Will struggled to be open. “That was me internalizing everything. He never mentioned, ‘Maybe I’m just not prepared for this’ or, ‘You’re too overwhelming.’”
Brittany elaborated, “I express everything openly. My emotions are visible. If I’m happy, you know it; if I’m upset, it shows. With him, I can’t tell if he’s happy, sad, or angry because he kept his feelings hidden both on and off camera.”

Brittany and Will Peacock
In an earlier episode of Married at First Sight, Will voiced his concerns about the marriage prior to their decision to part ways.
During one scene, the tech consultant expressed feeling unheard in the relationship.
“I love her and adore her,” he stated in episode 12. “But I can’t continue in a relationship where my feelings are consistently disregarded.”
Even though Brittany admitted to being “completely” blindsided by Decision Day’s events, her faith has empowered her to move forward.
“I’ve embraced change with a new place, a new car, a new job, and I even lost 30 pounds,” she revealed during the podcast. “Things have been really positive.”
Will and Brittany weren’t the only pair to end their relationship in season 19. Despite all five couples remaining together on Decision Day, the reunion show — hosted by Kevin Frazier — revealed that all couples had ultimately separated.
Fortunately, season 20 is on the way! On November 21, Peacock unveiled a first look at the new season, featuring a groom who has “participated in other shows” while another participant has never experienced a serious long-term relationship.
“I see that as a red flag,” one bride comments after hearing this revelation.
Married at First Sight season 19 (produced by Kinetic Content) is currently available for streaming on Peacock. A release date for season 20 has not yet been announced.
