Mary Bonnet and Nicole Young Hint at a Wild Season Ahead on Selling Sunset
The countdown has officially begun for an exciting new season of Selling Sunset.
“We’ve already seen the new season and filmed the reunion. It’s a lot,” Nicole Young revealed to Us Weekly during the 2nd Annual Gurus Awards, presented by Gurus Magazine, on Sunday, October 12. “I’m really curious about how viewers will react because things really get turned upside down, especially at the reunion.”
If Nicole were to make a prediction, she wouldn’t be shocked if fans find new favorites by the end of season 9.
“I think some favorites might shift in both directions,” she teased. “It’s going to be fascinating to see.”
Over the summer, Netflix confirmed that Selling Sunset season 9 will debut on October 29.
The streaming platform announced that Sofía Vergara’s sister, Sandra Vergara, will join The O Group, competing for the most exclusive listings alongside returning fans’ favorites like Chrishell Stause, Chelsea Lazkani, Emma Hernan, Alaina Gold, Mary Bonnet, Amanza Smith, Bre Tiesi, Nicole, and Jason and Brett Oppenheim.
As the premiere date approaches in under three weeks, fans—and some cast members—are eager to know when the official trailer will be released.
“They are reediting it,” Mary mentioned to Us on Sunday during Derek Warburton’s 1920s-themed event at Cicada Restaurant & Lounge in Los Angeles. “I’m not sure why, and it makes me a bit nervous, but they said they wanted to make more edits.”
Nicole added, “They haven’t informed us [about the release date] yet, but I would assume it’s coming any day now.”
For now, both Nicole and Mary align with Chrishell’s earlier hint to Us—that season 9 kicks off with an “explosive” feel.
“I definitely agree with that description. It was intense,” Mary clarified. “Whenever I feel like I’m on the verge of a meltdown, I think viewers will love it.”
As for Nicole, there’s one scene she’s not eager to revisit. Unfortunately, Selling Sunset isn’t only about open houses and luxury properties.
“There’s one particular scene that everyone will recognize when they watch it. It’s intense,” she hinted. “Explosive? I would concur with that. It’s significant. Trust me, you won’t miss the scene I’m referencing.”
Even though it’s been nearly 11 months since that scene was filmed, Nicole still feels anxious recalling what transpired.
“It was a bit of a PTSD moment afterward,” she admitted. “So, reliving it is tough.”
Fortunately, both Mary and Nicole had a smooth evening at the 2025 Gurus Awards. They joined Romain Bonnet in presenting Jason with the Civic Leadership Award.
This award recognizes individuals who use their influence to give back and strengthen the community that shaped them. According to Gurus Magazine, Jason continues to support initiatives that promote education, opportunity, and local empowerment.
Selling Sunset season 9 will be available for streaming on Netflix starting Wednesday, October 29.
