Mary Bonnet Suggests She May Not Return for Selling Sunset Season 10

Mary Bonnet suggested that her return for Selling Sunset season 10 is uncertain.

“It really depends on the dynamics in the office,” Mary, 45, stated during the Monday, January 5 episode of Gia Giudice’s “Casual Chaos” podcast when asked about the upcoming season of the Netflix series.

Mary clarified that she intends to remain with the Oppenheim Group but may not appear on the show. Her decision is still in the air.

“It depends on the level of toxicity allowed,” she noted, expressing that she feels “everyone’s on the same page” regarding the relationships among the women.

“It’s quite overwhelming right now. What’s going to unfold? I have no control over that. That responsibility lies with our producers and Netflix,” Mary elaborated. “Jason can dictate who works at the Oppenheim Group, but he cannot influence who appears on the show.”

Reflecting on the events of season 9, Mary confessed she’s “fine” with stepping back from the show if it becomes necessary. (Mary previously shared with Us Weekly that she received a “bad edit” during the last season, particularly in relation to her conflict with costar Chelsea Lazkani.)

“Most of the girls and I have a lot of fun together. We’re in group chats, hang out, and get along really well,” Mary added. “Unfortunately, the dynamic over the last few seasons, especially this one, is simply not to my liking.”

Reflecting on Season 9

Mary revealed she felt “a bit frustrated” by the editing in season 9, which debuted in October 2025, describing it as “brutal” to watch her episodes.

“So much transpired, and then my house got robbed,” she recounted. “I struggled to sleep… it created a chaotic situation, and then they just edit certain words and expressions.”

Taking a Break From Alcohol

On her choice to remain sober, Mary explained that “nothing terrible occurred,” but she realized she hadn’t gone a day without a drink, prompting her to cut back on alcohol.

“It became too much for my health. I thought, I need a break for my liver and kidneys. I need to prioritize my mental well-being,” she stated. “My anxiety levels seemed to increase. Where alcohol once helped ease my stress, it became more of a burden.”

Mary emphasized she doesn’t “restrict herself” and will drink if she desires, but “it’s never allowed to be two consecutive days” and she won’t “drink at home.” She has also started ordering mocktails.

“I’m 45 now, so my body isn’t as youthful as it once was,” Mary added. “I want to take care of it, if I can.”

A Fertility Update

The Selling Sunset star mentioned that “the chances are not good” for her to have a baby with her husband Romain Bonnet.

“At this stage, we just accept it as it is. We don’t discuss it much,” she explained. “We adore our dogs, and that’s the life we’re choosing. We love to travel, so we’re focusing on the positives of not having a child.”

An Update on Her Costars

Mary commented on the ongoing conflict between former friends Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan, stating that “there will not” be any reconciliation between them in the near future.

“I’m not quite sure what’s happening with Chrishell at the moment. I’ve always cared for her, but I’m confused by the current situation. It feels like every day there’s a new target for her, and I’m like, ‘What’s going on right now?’” Mary shared. “I hope she’s doing well. I’m just as puzzled, like everyone else.”
