Mayci Neeley from ‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Celebrates the Arrival of Her Third Child
Mayci Neeley and her spouse, Jacob Neeley, are joyfully adjusting to life with their newborn daughter.
The star of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, 30, and Jacob, 29, welcomed their little girl on Saturday, July 26.
“Our girl is here and our hearts are so full,” the reality TV personality shared on Instagram, announcing the arrival of their baby with a heartwarming photo of the couple in the hospital. In the image, Mayci is seen tenderly cradling her daughter, while Jacob kisses her forehead and holds her hand.
Mayci and Jacob wed in June 2018 and are also the parents of daughter Harlow, born in February 2021. Mayci is additionally the mother of son Hudson, whom she welcomed in September 2015 after the tragic loss of his father, Arik Mack, in a car accident. Jacob subsequently adopted Hudson legally.
Mayci revealed her pregnancy in February, expressing, “Baby #3 is on the way and we couldn’t be happier! 🥹” in a post on Instagram.
The photos featured Mayci embracing her baby bump while displaying sonogram images and posing with her family on the beach.
This pregnancy came about through in-vitro fertilization, but she chose to keep her journey private this time after sharing her previous experiences online. (Season 2 of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives included the revelation of Mayci’s pregnancy during a controversial game of pregnancy test roulette.)
“It’s been really exciting. Doing IVF isn’t usually enjoyable, and you often inform friends and family, so there are no secrets. This time, we decided to keep it to ourselves, even from our family,” she shared with People in February. “It’s been wonderful to surprise people and have a more typical experience sharing the news. Keeping it a secret has been really fun for us.”
Mayci also shared insights into Hudson and Harlow’s responses to her pregnancy.
“My kids can’t wait to welcome a sibling,” she beamed. “They already bicker over whose baby it is, which is hilarious. My daughter claims, ‘It’s my baby!’ while my son insists, ‘No, it’s our baby.’ They’re already competing over who will change diapers, and I’m thrilled to have little helpers!”
Three months later, Mayci announced the gender of her third child in a May Instagram video, featuring her and Jacob each holding bouquets. The black-and-white footage transitioned to color as they presented the flowers to their children, revealing pink bouquets that indicated they were expecting a baby girl.
Hudson seemed a bit let down in the video, but Mayci clarified in the comments, “Hudson wasn’t thrilled at first, but he’s super excited now 🫶🏼.”
