Meghan King’s Children Will Live with Dad Jim Edmonds, Visiting Her in the Summer (Exclusive)

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King has consented to have her three children live full-time with her ex-husband Jim Edmonds, following an investigation by Child Protective Services, as reported exclusively by Us Weekly.

A source revealed to Us that King and Edmonds’ children—8-year-old daughter Aspen and 7-year-old twins Hart and Hayes—will reside with their father full-time in Tennessee.

The former couple was married from 2014 until 2019 and moved from California to Missouri before their separation. They have been living miles apart in Missouri until recently.

An insider shared with Us that King will have the children for a few weeks each summer. This agreement was reached shortly before the exes were scheduled to appear before a judge this month.

As Us initially reported, earlier this year, King temporarily lost custody of her three children after a school official contacted CPS regarding her. Sources indicated that King was granted supervised visitation during this time. Edmonds’ team did not provide any further comments then.

The custody ruling came months after King and Edmonds’ wife, Kortnie Edmonds, called the police on the RHOC alum. According to a Frontenac Police Department report, on May 1, Kortnie claimed that King entered the home she shares with Jim after the door was shut. Initially, she requested for charges to be filed but later withdrew her request.

King had arrived at the house to drop off a dress for her daughter. The RHOC star stated that she spoke with Jim before coming over. When Meghan arrived, Kortnie answered the door and informed her that their daughter was out with Jim.

Kortnie closed the door and returned inside. She reported that she was on her way to her office when she heard King calling for her daughter inside the house.

“Kortnie walked back to the front door and saw Meghan standing inside the house about 5 feet from the doorway.” The report noted that Kortnie instructed King to leave.

Kortnie alleged that King stepped out of the home but “wedged her foot in the door,” preventing it from closing entirely.

“After Meghan removed her foot, Kortnie managed to close the door,” an officer reported after speaking with Kortnie.

King was not arrested or detained. During questioning, the reality star accused her ex of being “emotionally abusive” and utilizing his name and wealth to “push” her around. She maintained that she did nothing wrong during her encounter with Kortnie. In response, Edmonds’ representative told Us, “As usual, Meghan is spinning tales. Jim and Meghan barely communicate, so if someone is emotionally abusing her, it’s not Jim. Jim is an active and present father to all of his children.”

At that time, an insider told Us, “[King] is tired of the back and forth. She finds it absurd. It was a simple interaction that didn’t warrant police involvement. [King] is unfazed because she doesn’t want to escalate the conflict. She just wants to care for her family in peace.”

The police forwarded the case to the Frontenac Municipal Prosecutor for review, but no charges were filed.

As Us first reported, Kortnie applied for a restraining order against King on May 2. However, the case was dismissed before any order was entered, as the two reached an agreement. According to the arrangement, King and Kortnie will avoid each other around the children, and King is prohibited from posting about Kortnie on social media.
