Meghan Markle Confronts Her Lobster Fears in With Love, Meghan Season 2
Although Meghan Markle doesn’t seem to mind indulging in lobster like her husband, Prince Harry, she definitely struggles with the process of preparing them.
“Can you believe my husband doesn’t like lobster?” Markle, 44, shared with celebrity chef and humanitarian José Andrés in a clip from a recently aired season 2 episode of her popular Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.
“No way! And you decided to marry him?” Andrés, 56, replied, prompting a laugh from the Duchess of Sussex.
The duo was back in Markle’s makeshift kitchen, working on a lobster dish that involved the chef killing the crustaceans live, which visibly horrified Markle.
“So lobster! Come on over, baby,” Andrés said.
“He called it baby,” Markle commented, cringing as she watched each cut the chef made while preparing the dish.
“You have to be really careful because they call it a spiny lobster for a reason — it’s quite spiny,” Andrés explained. “Now, we’re going to cut the head right in the middle. We’ll place it here, make another cut the opposite way, and there you have your lobster.”
“Good job,” Markle managed to say, reaching for what seemed like a much-needed sip of wine.
“Are you OK?” Andrés inquired, noticing Markle had to cover her eyes at times during the lobster preparation.
“I’m fine,” she replied, though her tone was less than convincing. “I can handle it… look, if it’s fish, I can definitely get involved.”
She then struggled to continue speaking as she tried to watch Andrés slice through another lobster.
“At the end of the day…” Andrés started.
“It’s the circle of life,” Markle interjected.
“It’s the circle of life,” Andrés affirmed.
All eight episodes of With Love, Meghan season 2 were released on Tuesday, August 26, bringing a fresh lineup of celebrity guests as Markle showcases her hosting talents, featuring Chrissy Teigen, Christina Tosi, David Chang, Tan France, and Heather Dorak.
“Oh, how I adore ASMR! If you loved Season 1, just wait to see the fun we have lined up for Season 2!” Meghan announced in an Instagram video in March 2025, confirming her series’ return to Netflix. “Thank you for joining the party, and a heartfelt thanks to the fantastic team and crew who made it all happen!”
Before the second season, Markle shared her thoughts on returning to the lifestyle space as a mother of two.
“When your children reach a certain age — when you’re not just playing in the sandbox with them but almost rediscovering your own passions — it’s such a joyful experience,” Meghan told People about her show and brand, referring to her son Archie and daughter Lilibet, whom she shares with Prince Harry. “As a woman, a mom, and a wife, being able to reconnect with yourself — which has always been there but possibly couldn’t receive as much focus as it can now, now that your kids are older — is truly wonderful.”
With Love, Meghan season 2 is now available for streaming on Netflix.
