Midseason Trailer for Seeking Sister Wife Hints at Babies and ‘Betrayal’

Exciting developments await Seeking Sister Wife enthusiasts as season 6 progresses — and Us Weekly offers an exclusive first glimpse at the unfolding drama.

In a shocking midseason teaser released on Monday, October 27, Reise and Billie Jean Williamson meet with another woman while navigating their polygamous dating life. “Obviously, she’s the first wife,” Reise states, motioning towards Billie Jean and inquiring if the other woman would be comfortable with that dynamic.

Her reply is met with uncertainty. “You know, I am not sure,” she admits to the couple, later explaining to the camera, “Two dominant women in a relationship with one man could lead to complications.”

In another part of the clip, Nick Davis attempts to comfort his girlfriend Teresa, assuring her that her “insecurities are unfounded” as she navigates life within the plural family. “I do feel like I’m worthless,” she reveals. “And I hope to reach a point where I’m as self-assured as the other women.”

Teresa was a close friend of Nick and his wives, April and Jenny Davis, for 14 years before deepening her relationship with the family. However, the Davises aren’t the only ones considering a new addition.

Dani Peralta engages in conversation with prospective sister wife Jackie, who expresses that she feels like she’s “growing closer to” Dani’s husband, Yessel. The discussion takes an emotional turn when Dani raises the subject of children.

“The last time we spoke about kids, you definitely want more,” Dani states, struggling to hold back tears. “I don’t think I’m emotionally ready to handle him having another baby with another woman.”

Dani has already voiced her concerns to Yessel, who has two children from previous relationships, since they appeared on Seeking Sister Wife season 6. “It doesn’t matter to me if they already have a child or not,” Dani explained. “But if they don’t have a child, I can’t accept another woman bearing a child with you. … For me, that’s non-negotiable.”

The tension appears to escalate later this season. “You can be with us, but if your intention is to undermine the relationship, that’s a deal-breaker,” Yessel tells Dani, who declares she’s “done.”

Fellow newcomers this season, Matt and Anjelica Johnson, may also encounter challenges in their relationship with girlfriend Shanay. In the midseason trailer, Shanay questions Matt about whether he’s been seeing other women — and he replies affirmatively.

“I feel hurt and betrayed,” Shanay confesses as she storms away.

Seeking Sister Wife first premiered on TLC in 2018, following various couples seeking another spouse or adapting to life within a polygamous framework. Season 6, which began in September, offers fans a closer look at how each household navigates the triumphs and challenges of finding a potential new sister wife.

Among the hurdles? Informing friends and family about their decision to embrace a polygamous lifestyle. “So you’re swinging?” Anjelica is queried in the season 6 teaser while notifying her inner circle that she and Matt have been dating other people.
