Mikayla Matthews Navigates Postpartum Life with Baby No. 4 in Style

Mikayla Matthews truly showcases her talent — and in heels!

In a TikTok video posted on Saturday, August 2, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star was seen precariously balancing on one high heel, cradling her newborn baby while donning a sleep mask.

“This is how it feels balancing postpartum + 4 kids while being the breadwinner,” she captioned the video, which contributed to the TikTok balance challenge.

“Two weeks postpartum yesterday, and we are TIRED lol 😅🙃,” she added in her post.

Mikayla, 25, welcomed her fourth child with husband Jace Terry on July 17. She celebrated the arrival of Lottie June with a TikTok video announcement.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives features Utah’s renowned #MomTok group — but just how many children do they collectively have? When the Hulu series premiered in September 2024, it highlighted soft swinger Taylor Frankie Paul along with her TikTok mom frenemies like Demi Engemann, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Jessi Ngatikaura, and others.

“I’ve been cherishing these last few days with our beautiful baby girl🤍 I can’t wait to share more details with you all🥹 @Jace Terry,” she described in a black-and-white clip showing the newborn peacefully sleeping on her chest, being rocked by her father, and enjoying cuddle time with her older siblings.

Mikayla and Jace, 30, are proud parents to Beckham, 7, Haven, 5, and Tommie, 3. The couple tied the knot in 2018.

Mikayla revealed her pregnancy with baby No. 4 back in February. “I thought it was time to announce the next chapter of my healing journey 🤍,” she shared on Instagram, featuring family pictures that showcased her growing baby bump and sonogram images. “I can’t wait to love on this baby 👶🏼🥹.”

The reality star also opened up to People about her surprise fourth pregnancy, which was welcomed with joy.

“It was definitely unexpected! We weren’t planning or trying. Due to my health issues, I often miss my periods, so I thought it was normal to be a bit off. After a month and a half, I mentioned to my friends, ‘Maybe I should take a test,’” she explained. “I wasn’t experiencing any symptoms, which made me think I wasn’t pregnant because I usually feel symptoms early, like two or three weeks in. When I took the test, it was instantly positive.”

Mikayla, who has an undisclosed health condition, expressed, “With my health issues, I didn’t think getting pregnant was possible right now.”

“My husband was with me when I took the test. He usually doesn’t show much reaction, but we were both in shock. Then the reality set in, and we became truly excited. We’re definitely thrilled, though a bit nervous about my health and what that could mean for our baby, but overall, excited,” she shared.

Fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives have witnessed the cast evolve both on and off the screen even before the show aired. The first season, which follows a group of Mormon mom influencers, debuted on Hulu in September 2024 following star Taylor Frankie Paul‘s “soft swinging” scandal. “We’re not all swingers,” Whitney noted.

Mikayla also mentioned that they might not be done growing their family. “I’m still immersed in Mormon culture, and my husband’s siblings all have large families,” she said. “They say, ‘Once you hit three kids, you can have ten!’ That’s a mindset that resonates with me. When people ask how many kids I want, I usually say, ‘I’ve always wanted three or four, but I could see myself having six.’”
