Mila Kunis Shares Uncommon Insight About Her Son Dimitri
Mila Kunis is providing fans with a glimpse into her life with Ashton Kutcher and their son, Dimitri.
“It’s my son’s 9th birthday, so it typically involves some form of activity,” Kunis, 42, shared with Access Hollywood during the premiere of her film Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery on Monday, November 17, when asked about Dimitri’s birthday plans.
The actress went on to mention different activities that Dimitri might choose for his special day.
“It could be football, racing cars, laser tag, or any combination of those,” she explained.
Kunis shares Dimitri and daughter Wyatt, 11, with Kutcher, 47, whom she wed in 2015.
Since Kunis prioritizes family time, she disclosed that she only takes on one film each year.

“I make one movie a year because I work when my kids are on break from school, so yes, you’ll see me in one film annually,” she told People on Monday, adding that her favorite aspect of parenting is “the entire journey.”
Kunis and Kutcher first connected on the set of their 1998 comedy series That ‘70s Show, which aired until 2006. After Kutcher’s split from ex-wife, Demi Moore, in 2011, he rekindled his relationship with Kunis, and they began dating in 2012.
The couple tied the knot in July 2015, welcoming daughter Wyatt in October 2014, followed by Dimitri in November 2016.
Kunis has expressed that she and Kutcher desired children “so deeply.”
“We were so ready to be parents,” Kunis told The EDIT in November 2017. “I want to raise a child I would be friends with. … I don’t think any parent wants to be responsible for a child who grows up to be an a**hole.”
While they generally keep their kids out of the public eye, the couple has openly discussed the highs and lows of parenting.
“I don’t know if it’s because I’m a girl dad or because she’s my first, but when I had my daughter, I had never felt so in love in my life,” Kutcher shared during a September 2024 episode of the “Throwbacks” podcast. “And Mila and I talk about it a lot. Like, I’ve never loved anyone this much. Ever.”
Kutcher elaborated that he tends to parent his son and daughter “differently.”
“With my son, I’m always like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it.’ Just yesterday we were popping wheelies on a bicycle in the driveway or seeing if we could jump down four stairs,” he explained. “[When my daughter cries,] my heart is out of my body, and I can’t put it back in.”
Kutcher acknowledged that some “toxic masculinity” influences how he treats his son differently.
“But I also notice the same thing with my wife; she’s very strict with our daughter and very nurturing with our son,” he noted. “We balance each other in that regard.”
