Millie Bobby Brown made a stunning appearance at the Electric State screening, turning heads with her fashion choice.
Just a few days after responding to online “bullies” who criticized her looks, the 21-year-old dazzled in a striking ruby red gown at the event. She chose the Wiederhoeft design from the Fall 2024 collection, which hugged her curves beautifully with its structured corset and alluring lace-up back.
Her sequined ensemble sparkled beautifully on its own, but Brown enhanced her look with exquisite diamond-and-ruby earrings and a coordinating ring, along with elegant strappy red satin sandals. She completed her polished appearance with red-wine manicured nails.
The Stranger Things star complemented her outfit with glamorous makeup, including bold winged eyeliner, luscious lashes, rosy cheeks, and red-lined lips. Her platinum blonde locks cascaded down in gorgeous finger-raked waves.
Brown’s eye-catching moment came just days after she confronted detractors who suggested she looked older than her age.
On March 3, the actress took to Instagram to call out the “bullies,” including comedian Matt Lucas, who had made jokes about her “mommy makeover” look.

“This isn’t journalism. This is bullying. The fact that mature writers are dedicating their time to scrutinizing my face, my body, my choices is disheartening,” she stated in her video.
She went on to assert: “I refuse to apologize for maturing. I will not diminish myself to conform to the unrealistic expectations of those who struggle to accept a girl evolving into a woman. I will not be shamed for my appearance, attire, or how I present myself.”
Later that day, Lucas, aged 50, expressed his apologies to Brown through Instagram, indicating he did not intend to upset her with his remarks.
“Nearly 25 years ago, I co-created and appeared in a sketch show called Little Britain,” Lucas elaborated. “A character named Vicky Pollard had blonde hair and typically wore a pink top, and in your photo, you had blonde hair and a pink top, which is why I mentioned the resemblance by referencing one of her catchphrases.”
He continued: “I thought you looked amazing, and I was horrified when the press reported that I ‘slammed’ you, as that isn’t my style, and I find you incredible.”
The online backlash began in February, shortly after she transitioned from brunette to blonde, prompting negative comments on social media about how the change affected her youthful appearance. British Vogue writer Morgan Fargo swiftly defended her in an opinion piece titled: “No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks.” The article resonated with Brown, who later shared it on her Instagram Story with gratitude.
