Milo Ventimiglia Shares Touching Relationship with His ‘Magical’ Daughter Ahead of Baby No. 2
Milo Ventimiglia has fully embraced his role as a father.
“I spend time with my kid,” Ventimiglia, 48, shared about his favorite activities on the Thursday, February 19 episode of Annie F. Downs’ “That Sounds Fun” podcast. “[I’m] observing my daughter as she explores and develops her curiosity.”
Ventimiglia’s wife, Jarah Mariano, welcomed their daughter, Ke’ala Coral, in January 2025.
“She’s incredibly curious and bright, and she just discovered her laughter,” the This Is Us star beamed about his 12-month-old daughter. “She’s been giggling for a while, but now she finds it amusing. At one year old, she’s truly the most enchanting little being.”
Ventimiglia added, “The most enjoyable thing for me is simply spending time with her and my wife.”
In January, Ventimiglia and Mariano revealed they are expecting another child.
“I’m about to be outnumbered; actually, I’m already outnumbered since our dog has a higher rank than me,” he laughed during Thursday’s episode. “He’s a big dog, but he’s the best.”
Ventimiglia also disclosed that he and Mariano, 41, know the sex of baby No. 2 but are keeping it a secret until the birth.
Mariano showcased her pregnancy while paying tribute to Ke’ala as she celebrated her birthday last month.
“Happy 1st birthday, my baby girl. When you came into my life, I had two immediate thoughts,” Mariano wrote on Instagram in January alongside a bikini photo of her baby bump. “I would do anything for you, but now I must live as long as possible to ensure your safety.”
She continued, “This is the most extraordinary love I’ve ever known, just as unique as your own spirit. In a world filled with fear and negativity, I know you will spread your radiant light and make it a better place. I love you, Ke’ala Coral, forever.”
Us Weekly reported in October 2023 that Ventimiglia and Mariano had secretly tied the knot months prior. The couple, who kept much of their early relationship private, announced in September 2024 that they were expecting their first child. Ke’ala was born in January 2025, shortly after Ventimiglia and Mariano lost their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
“We are doing well. My wife is incredibly strong, and her ability to bounce back from everything is remarkable,” Ventimiglia exclusively told Us in December 2025. “However, we’re still navigating insurance issues a year later. We’re dealing with the aftermath of the fires, but we’re grateful to have been fiscally responsible and prepared for a situation like this.”
The actor emphasized that he and Mariano have learned to treasure the “basic essentials of life” after their family experienced losing their home.
“All we truly need is shelter and food,” he reflected. “But now, it’s about considering what my child needs and how to provide her with freedom. It ranges from something as simple as ensuring I have a stash of pacifiers for her naps to making sure I’m setting up a 529 plan for her future education—I’ve learned these lessons from friends who became fathers long before I did.”
