Mormon Wives’ Jessi Suggests Marital Missteps, Criticizes Marciano
Jessi Ngatikaura has finally addressed Marciano Brunette‘s claims on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives regarding an alleged affair during her marriage to her husband Jordan Ngatikaura.
“Watching that was definitely challenging. We are still filming, so viewers can expect to see this story develop,” Jessi, 32, shared in an interview with Bustle published on Thursday, May 22. “I believe fans will see me being quite vulnerable as I reveal more about my personal life and marriage.”
Jessi expressed hope that her openness in the upcoming season would “benefit many women” facing similar situations, adding, “Due to the show, I can’t disclose much right now. But relationships are tough, and everyone makes errors.”
After viewing Marciano’s scene with Layla Taylor, Jessi emphasized that there was more to the narrative.
“I can say it’s not what he made it appear [to be]. His statements were inaccurate. I wish I could speak more freely,” she commented, agreeing with the interviewer that Marciano’s assertions were hard to believe. “Honestly, yeah, he’s a piece of s***.”
Throughout season 2, Jessi denied rumors from fans claiming she was “publicly” kissing Marciano, 31, at TomTom. Meanwhile, Marciano sat down with Layla, 23, to discuss their experiences after filming two episodes of Vanderpump Villa together.
Despite earlier hints indicating something had occurred between him and Mormon Wives’ Demi Engemann — who is married to Bret Engemann — Marciano altered his narrative on screen.
“It’s not just about Demi. It’s a rumor — that wasn’t a rumor,” he suggested before expanding on how the gossip surrounding him and Jessi at TomTom was accurate. “One event led to another. Oh, it was more than [us making out].”
Marciano claimed he had been intimate with Jessi — and stressed it wasn’t a one-time encounter, adding, “We have attempted to meet up [to continue the affair]. Jordan is unaware of the extent of our relationship. It wasn’t a fleeting hookup; it wasn’t just a one-night stand.”
In her interview with Bustle on Thursday, Jessi mentioned that Jordan “wasn’t pleased” with Marciano’s accusations, which they both have denied.
“We were aware of it before the show aired, but seeing it is different from just hearing about it,” she explained. “I’m pretty sure he wanted to confront him. However, I believe it will spark a larger discussion regarding marriage and the complexities of relationships.”
Earlier this month, Jessi provided an update on her marriage during the Tuesday, May 20, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, stating, “I must say that reality TV places a strain on any relationship, whether it’s a friendship or a marriage. We’ve experienced a lot, and now it’s all public.”
Jessi acknowledged that she is currently not wearing her wedding ring. “We’re doing our best — but things are a bit complicated right now,” she noted about her and Jordan “working through things.” “I’m looking forward to hopefully sharing more about that someday. But as of now, it’s just real life, and it’s challenging.”
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently available for streaming on Hulu.
