Oasis Responds Following Fan’s Fatal Fall at Wembley Concert
Members of Oasis have expressed their grief following a tragic incident in which a fan fell to their death from an upper level during the band’s reunion concert at London’s Wembley Stadium on Saturday, August 2.
“We are deeply shocked and saddened to hear about this tragic loss,” the band, fronted by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, stated in a message to the BBC on Sunday, August 3. “Oasis wishes to convey our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.”
According to a spokesperson from the London Metropolitan Police, a concert attendee fell from an upper tier of the arena during the performance. The individual was found with “injuries consistent with a fall,” and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wembley Stadium also released a statement regarding the incident, although the man’s identity remains undisclosed.
“Despite the emergency efforts, the fan sadly passed away,” stated the venue’s representative. “Our condolences go out to his family, who have been notified and are currently receiving support from specially trained police officers.”
Oasis launched its Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour in July, which featured seven sold-out shows at Wembley. The band had not performed together since 2009, following a fallout between Noel, 58, and Liam, 52.
“The sound is massive,” Noel remarked about the new tour during an appearance on talkSPORT Radio shortly before kicking off the stadium performances last month. “This is it; there’s no turning back now. It’s going to be great.”

One year earlier, Liam shared with Mojo Music his enthusiasm for a potential reunion tour.
“I adore nostalgia,” he mentioned at that time. “I’m planning on experiencing everything. Every album—even … what was the last one? … You typically don’t appreciate them the first time around, so I’ll be reliving it all. People describe it as a comfort zone. I want to be in that comfort zone! Bring me my slippers and my little blanket and put me in the comfort zone, please. Life’s too stressful.”
Noel and Liam maintained a notorious rivalry throughout the band’s prominence, with the elder Gallagher quitting the band on two occasions.
“I’ve realized that instead of arguing with him and ending up in a physical fight, I work on understanding his psychology, and he’s completely unsettled by me now. He’s truly terrified of me,” Noel confided to Spin magazine back in 2005. “I can influence him into making decisions that he believes are his own, but they’re actually mine—without any fighting. It’s an art I’ve mastered.”
