Orlando Bloom Celebrates Thanksgiving with His Two Kids Following Split from Katy Perry
Orlando Bloom expresses gratitude for his family following his separation from Katy Perry.
“A lot to be thankful for,” the 48-year-old actor shared on his Instagram Story on Thursday, November 28, along with a photo of himself with his children: 14-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, and 5-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, his child with Perry.
The trio beamed and embraced in front of a home’s entrance, with pumpkins adorning the walkway leading up to the door.
In a following post, Bloom shared a snapshot of Daisy strolling down a pathway toward the beach. He also uploaded a picture of himself cuddling with a dog.
Earlier this year, Us Weekly confirmed that Bloom and Perry, 41, ended their engagement after 9 years of being together. (The Pirates of the Caribbean actor proposed to the singer in 2019, a year before Daisy’s birth.)
“Katy and Orlando have parted ways but remain amicable,” a source close to the couple told Us in June. “It’s not contentious right now. Katy is understandably upset but feels relieved to avoid another divorce, which was the toughest time in her life.”
Even amid their split, Bloom and Perry are focused on co-parenting their daughter.
“Orlando and Katy have been adapting their relationship over recent months to prioritize co-parenting,” representatives for the former couple stated in a follow-up announcement. “They will continue to be seen together as a family because their main priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
Two months later, Bloom spoke openly about the breakup.
“I’m fantastic, man. I’m incredibly grateful. We have the most wonderful daughter,” he mentioned during a September appearance on Today. “You know, when you give it your all, like I did in [my movie The Cut], I feel thankful for everything.”
Bloom added, “We’re doing great [and] we will continue to be great. It’s all love.”
Post-split, Perry has since started seeing former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The pair was first seen together in July enjoying a stroll in Montreal’s Mount Royal Park before dining out that evening. Four months later, Us confirmed that the two were officially an item.
“They’ve chosen to keep things more private. … They continue to communicate and are very interested in each other,” one source noted in October, while another mentioned that their relationship “isn’t serious” since Perry is “extremely busy” with her tour.
That same month, Perry revealed at her concert in Prague that she was seeing someone new.
“This guy is trying to propose and has a ring in his hand. No! I am dating someone else for crying out loud,” Perry told the audience.
As for Bloom, he hasn’t been linked to anyone new yet, but he did stir curiosity when he took a photo on Halloween with Rachel Lynn Matthews, who dressed as Perry. The Happy Death Day actress donned Perry’s blue space suit from the musician’s 10-minute journey to space with Blue Origin earlier this year.
