Orlando Bloom Lightheartedly Discusses Emotions Amid Katy Perry’s Challenges

As rumors of relationship troubles with fiancée Katy Perry continue to circulate, Orlando Bloom seemed to be in high spirits during his appearance on the Tonight Show.

Bloom, 48, was interviewed by host Jimmy Fallon on the Tuesday, June 10, episode, where he was accompanied by his dog, Biggie Smalls, whom he humorously referred to as his “emotional support animal.”

The actor kept the humor flowing, quipping, “Because I’m very emotional right now.”

This television segment aired just hours after Us Weekly confirmed that the couple, who share a 4-year-old daughter named Daisy Dove, are currently facing a challenging phase in their relationship.

Another insider mentioned that those close to the couple have perceived that Perry, 40, and Bloom don’t seem to be synchronized at this time. “It’s an unspoken issue that they have been experiencing for some time now,” the second source informed Us. “Everyone around them knows.”

The second source also added that Bloom is keeping their personal matters “close to the vest,” while noting that the Pirates of the Caribbean star has been spotted “out and about more frequently” without Perry, who is currently engaged in her worldwide Lifetimes Tour.

The couple, who first met at a 2016 Golden Globes afterparty, got engaged in 2019. The second source told Us that they “never set a wedding date or made any plans, and Orlando is ‘over it.’”

A third source also mentioned to Us, “Things aren’t looking good.”

Despite the swirling rumors, both Bloom and Perry have shown public support for each other on social media. Bloom attended Perry’s space journey aboard a Blue Origin rocket in April.

Perry also humorously addressed a fan during a May concert in Las Vegas, telling them to stop sending direct messages to Bloom. She paused her performance, moved closer to the fan, and said, “Oh, yeah, cute grin. I know why you’re here. If you keep DMing my man …”

In TikTok footage shared on May 20, Perry added, “Oh, Kyle. I know. I know. You’ve been doing it for months. You didn’t come to see me play. If you keep DMing my man, I’m going to have you removed. Seriously, get your own life. I’m his wife.”

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s prominent relationship, which began in January 2016, has included a dance-off, a nude paddleboarding session, a meeting with the pope, and much more. The singer and actor dated from January 2016 to March 2017 before briefly splitting and getting back together by February the following year.

Perry then told fans, “I’m his,” as the crowd echoed back, “He’s mine,” referencing the sentiment from Perry’s song “I’m His, He’s Mine,” featured on her 2024 album 143.

Perry and Bloom dated for a year after their initial meeting, briefly separating for just under a year. They rekindled their romance in 2018, and Bloom proposed the following year.

The couple welcomed their daughter in August 2020.
