Patrick Mahomes’ Childhood Home on the Market at a Lower Price
UPDATE — 6/25/25, 5:45 p.m. ET: The childhood home of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Tyler, Texas, has officially found a buyer.
Realtor reports that Patrick’s mother, Randi Mahomes, has accepted a contingent offer from a buyer for the home she has inhabited since 2006, alongside the NFL star, her younger son Jackson, and daughter Mia. The buyer’s identity remains undisclosed at this time.
The 1,475-square-foot property was initially listed in April after Patrick and brother Jackson purchased a new $825,000 home nearby for their mother and half-sister Mia. Priced at $285,000, the Mahomes’ Tyler residence found a buyer only after Randi lowered the asking price to $279,000 earlier this month.
When the house went on the market, Randi shared in a statement, “It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change. Mia and I are thrilled to have a new place to decorate and create a home, plus I’ll have plenty of room for those grandbabies.”
(Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, have three children: Sterling Skye, 4, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2, and Golden Raye.)

Randi Mahomes, Patrick’s mom, has lowered the asking price for the childhood home of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback in Tyler, Texas.
The Mahomes family’s 6,098-square-foot residence was initially listed in April for $285,000, but in an effort to find a buyer quickly, the price was reduced to $279,000, as reported by Realtor.
“It’s bittersweet, but it’s time for a change. Mia and I are excited to create a new space to decorate and now I’ll have more room for those grandbabies,” Randi, 52, previously mentioned.
Patrick resided in the three-bedroom home from age 11 until he was drafted by the Chiefs in 2017. The fortunate buyer will enjoy features like a landscaped backyard, marble countertops, and the doorframe markings where Randi recorded her children’s heights over the years.
“Inside, you’ll appreciate the beautifully updated kitchen featuring new countertops, a stylish backsplash, KitchenAid appliances, and contemporary lighting ideal for entertaining,” the official listing proudly states. “The home also includes refreshed bathrooms, a spacious backyard, and is located in the sought-after Whitehouse school district.”
As she embarks on this new chapter, Randi acknowledges her mixed emotions about leaving the home where so many cherished memories were made with her children. (Randi shares Patrick, 29, and Jackson, 25, with ex-husband Pat Mahomes and welcomed daughter Mia, 13, from another relationship.)
“There were many tears, laughter, and memories in that house, but now it’s time for a new family to start building their dreams there,” she reflected.
Randi and daughter Mia are relocating to a $825,000 home that Patrick, his wife Brittany Mahomes, and brother Jackson recently purchased for them in Texas.
“Home is where the heart is — and my heart is full! I’m incredibly grateful for my amazing family @patrickmahomes @brittanylynne @jacksonmahomes and my grandbabies for this wonderful blessing,” Randi shared via Instagram in March. “Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day.”
Describing her new home as “the surprise of [her] life,” she added, “Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home!”
Patrick and Brittany are parents to three children: Sterling Skye, 4, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2, and Golden Raye, 6 months. Earlier this year, Randi announced she was taking on “grandma duty” while Patrick’s Chiefs played the Philadelphia Eagles at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. (The Eagles ultimately won against the Chiefs, 40-22.)
“I’m the most excited since all three will be there,” she beamed in February. “I may or may not watch the game, but I’ll definitely be holding the grandbabies!”
In January, Randi gained attention during a visit to a Dairy Queen in Tyler when she spotted a sign advertising full-time positions on the door.
“$11 an hour. I only made $4.25 an hour when I worked there in high school,” she jokingly remarked.
After leaving Dairy Queen years ago, Randi established QB Producer, a merchandise company where she shares “Patrick’s history through his Mother’s eyes,” and has also worked as an event planner for the Hollytree Country Club.
