Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt Did Not Anticipate Baby News (Exclusive)
Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt didn’t anticipate parenthood on their bingo card, but it’s a delightful twist.
“Pete and Elsie weren’t planning to start a family, but they are absolutely thrilled. They are overjoyed,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly about the expectant couple. “Their relationship is playful, and they’re doing great together.”
The insider notes that although Davidson and Hewitt have only been dating for a “short time,” they have quickly become “inseparable” since their romance began earlier this year.
“This has brought them even closer. Pete is in a healthy relationship now,” the source explains. “He has always dreamed of being a dad and believes this is the perfect time in his life. A few years ago, he wasn’t ready, but now he feels very different.”
The insider adds that Davidson, 31, has significantly “matured.”
“He’s had an impressive year with two movies set to release soon, another in production, and a comeback to stand-up,” the source shares.
As Hewitt and Davidson prepare to welcome their little one, the couple has fully embraced nesting.
“They now live together and are getting everything ready, which has been a thrilling experience for them as a couple,” the insider reveals.
This week, Hewitt, 29, revealed her pregnancy with her and Davidson’s first child.
“Welp, now everyone knows we had sex,” the model posted on Instagram along with several sonogram images.
Many of their friends have expressed excitement over the news, including Davidson’s close friend Machine Gun Kelly, who recently welcomed daughter Saga Blade with ex Megan Fox.
“These playdates bout to hittttt,” the rapper, 35, commented on Hewitt’s post.
Davidson and Hewitt fueled romance speculation back in March and confirmed their relationship on social media shortly after. Two months later, they made their red carpet debut at the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s annual gala.
“13th annual #BlossomBall 💜 this work, research & advocacy is extremely important to me,” Hewitt shared via Instagram in May. “Thank you @seckinmd @padmalakshmi for having me and for all your efforts in women’s reproductive health, and shoutout to the best glam team ever @patmcgrathreal.”
Prior to dating Hewitt, Davidson openly shared his desire to settle down and have children.
“I’m definitely a family guy. My ultimate goal, which I haven’t achieved yet, is to have a kid. That’s like, my dream,” Davidson told Kevin Hart during a July 2022 preview for season 2 of Peacock’s Hart to Heart. “It’s corny, but it would be such a joy. Dressing up the little guy… I’m really looking forward to that chapter and just trying to be better so when it happens, it’s easier.”
