While Reese Witherspoon has an extensive portfolio, she considers motherhood to be among her most significant accomplishments.
The Legally Blonde actress became a mother for the first time in September 1999 when she gave birth to her daughter Ava with then-husband Ryan Phillippe. The couple, who were married from 1999 to 2006, welcomed their son Deacon in October 2003.
Despite their divorce after seven years, they cultivated a cooperative co-parenting relationship. “I think we’ve reached a really good place,” Phillippe, who also had daughter Kai with ex Alexis Knapp in 2011, shared with HuffPost Live in 2014. “I’m proud of the way we’ve managed it and of who our little ones are.”
Witherspoon later found love with talent agent Jim Toth, with whom she was married from March 2011 until March 2023. Their only child together, son Tennessee, was born in 2012.
