RHOC’s Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson Share Their Thoughts on Shannon Beador’s New Boyfriend
The Real Housewives of Orange County stars Gina Kirschenheiter and Emily Simpson are optimistic about Shannon Beador getting another chance at love following her breakup with John Janssen.
“She appears to be in a good place,” Simpson, 48, shared with Us Weekly at Kathy Hilton’s DirecTV Christmas Party in Los Angeles on December 10. “I saw her recently. We had dinner at her place, and she seemed cheerful—she is relieved that it’s over.”
Although the split between Beador, 60, and Janssen, 62, occurred at the close of 2022, the two maintained a connection.
Janssen’s current girlfriend turned fiancée, Alexis Bellino, made her return to The Real Housewives of Orange County. Throughout season 18, one recurring discussion point for Bellino, 47, was Janssen’s legal dispute with Beador.
In March, Janssen initiated legal action against his former girlfriend, alleging breach of oral contract and promissory fraud, accusing her of failing to repay $75,000. They reached a settlement in November whereby Beador agreed to pay $60,000.
“I was in close contact with Shannon throughout that process, and I felt really proud of her when it got resolved,” Simpson mentioned to Us, while wearing a Retrofete dress. “My main point was to encourage her to have a fresh start and to fully embrace life again after clearing that chapter.”
With the legal matter behind her, Beador might be more prepared to explore dating opportunities.
“She is going out on a few dates,” Kirschenheiter, 40, joked while wearing a L’AGENCE dress and a Lovers + Friends jacket at the outdoor holiday gathering. “I haven’t met him, but I think [Emily] may have met someone special.”
Simpson confirmed she had encountered one of Beador’s potential dates and when asked if he was “different” from Janssen, the reality star agreed.
“He seems really nice and not at all litigious,” she chuckled. “He didn’t bring papers to serve her, which I consider a promising start.”
While The Real Housewives of Orange County concluded its intense season 18 in November, the cast is keeping busy outside the show.
Kirschenheiter and her long-term boyfriend, Travis Mullen, have launched their own real estate team, The Gated Group, in partnership with eXp Realty. Meanwhile, Simpson has teamed up with her husband Shane to create a podcast for iHeartRadio called “Legally Brunette.”
“We have found a great niche to discuss pop culture criminal cases,” she explained. “That’s the angle we are taking.”
