RHONY’s Erin Discusses Brynn and the Season 15 Finale on Not Skinny But Not Fat
Erin Lichy has expressed her strong opinions about her fellow Real Housewives of New York City star Brynn Whitfield after the dramatic season 15 finale.
During her appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Tuesday, January 28, Erin, 37, shared that Brynn’s interview with Rolling Stone “triggered the f—” out of her, leading her to “lose it.”
Erin was taken aback when she read the article published on January 22, noting that the conflict was “still ongoing” and she was surprised Brynn called her “a sister.” (Erin responded to this in an Instagram comment at that time.)
“Are we really still calling me a sister when you haven’t communicated with me at all?” Erin expressed. “You not only didn’t speak to me, you blocked me.”
During the podcast, Erin speculated that Brynn, who is in her 30s, might have blocked her after a prior text conversation that involved Ubah Hassan.
Following the finale aired earlier this month, Brynn’s relationships with the RHONY women became strained. On a cast trip to Puerto Rico, Ubah suggested that Brynn had used her sexuality to secure a spot on the show. Later, Brynn disclosed her past experience with sexual assault to some cast members, claiming Ubah was aware of it—something Ubah, who appeared upset, denied. Brynn later acknowledged uncertainty about whether Ubah had truly understood the gravity of the trauma shared in a previous phone call.
“I suppose she recalled previous times when she texted me, and I mentioned that Ubah was really upset with what had transpired. I guess she didn’t take kindly to that,” Erin recounted on the podcast. “She probably felt she was supposed to be the only one upset in this situation, which led to her blocking me. I hadn’t heard from her for months until my father passed away in October 2024.”
Erin also mentioned that Brynn has “since reached out” to her.
“I told her, ‘I’m sorry, but I’m not in a place to discuss this right now. You blocked me as if I did something wrong.’ She apologized for blocking me and said she had reached out,” Erin recalled, referring back to Brynn’s “sister” remark.
“How can we be sisters when it seems like you hate me and have me blocked?” Erin queried. “I talk to my sister every day. This doesn’t align with my understanding of sisterhood.”
Erin also spoke about the possibility of Brynn returning to RHONY for season 16, but she did not confirm any details.
“I think it would be incredibly challenging for me to trust anything now. I mean, how do you just overlook an event like the finale? How can anyone forget that?” Erin pondered, noting that she doesn’t believe any member of the RHONY cast is still in contact with Brynn after the dramatic revelations of the finale.
“From the bottom of my heart, I genuinely wish her the best. I truly do,” Erin added. “She possesses remarkable qualities, is incredibly intelligent, and has undeniable charisma. It’s a pity for someone with such talents not to achieve great things in life.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET, with part one of the season 15 reunion premiering January 28.
