Rita Ora Surprised by Husband Taika Waititi’s Surprise Appearance on ‘The Masked Singer’
Let’s discuss the interesting blend of business and pleasure.
Rita Ora, a judge on “The Masked Singer,” was taken aback when her husband Taika Waititi unveiled himself as Lucky Duck during the April 30 episode of the Fox series.
“Are you serious?” Ora exclaimed in disbelief, as the audience, along with judges Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy, erupted in excitement when the director and Oscar-winning screenwriter removed his mask.
“I can’t believe you!” she jokingly exclaimed, as confetti fluttered down over the stage.
She then made her way over to the “Jojo Rabbit” director.
“I thought you were the most irritating thing on this show,” she said, as he lifted her up for a kiss. “I love you dearly.”
Lucky Duck has been a prominent figure in this season of “The Masked Singer,” with Fox hinting at the character’s significance.

“Lucky Duck will appear throughout the season to provide playful and luck-themed clues, with a potential special connection to someone on the show,” the network stated.
Ora mentioned that her husband has always aspired to be a musician.
“By the way, this is sort of a dream come true for you. You’ve always wanted to be a pop star. This is your time,” she remarked.

“This is it! This is as far as I’m going,” Waititi joked in response.
Host Nick Cannon then posed a question many might have been curious about: How did Waititi manage to keep his participation under wraps?
“The main reason I wanted to do this was that it’s the only way I could spend time with my wife since you guys have her working so hard. I never get to see her. Keeping it a secret was simple; she’s always here,” he explained.
Ora added that Waititi had a personal motivation for joining the show.

“Moreover, his kids adore the show, so this is fantastic,” she said.
