While highlighting each item on Instagram, she explained the origin and significance of her favorites. As for the fragrance, the timeless 59-year-old actress remarked, “I mean…Bonne Bell Skin Musk. There’s not much more to elaborate on,” infused with an IYKYK vibe.
If you don’t remember, Bonne Bell introduced those iconic lip-smacking balms that were staples in every Gen X’s Hello Kitty wallet during childhood. They also crafted enchanting fragrances like Skin Musk, cherished by the coolest kids. As an elder Gen Xer herself, SJP is so enchanted that she still can’t leave home without it! Unaware that it was still available, I felt an immediate urge to track down this fragrance. Although Bonne Bell has ceased its production, Skin Musk is still available on Amazon, with shoppers claiming just one spritz can transport you back to your pre-teen days. Even more exciting, the nostalgic fragrance is priced at only $13!
I’m not alone in my nostalgia for the soft floral, sandalwood, and musk notes. Numerous shoppers express joy in rediscovering this skin scent, with many noting it consistently receives compliments. One long-time fan shared, “I’ve been using this musky cologne for over 40 years, back when Bonne Bell owned it. It remains my favorite, and I always get compliments.”
