Sister Wives Sneak Peek: Meri and Janelle Discuss Their Sex Lives After Kody

Meri Brown and Janelle Brown held back from sharing details during their marriage to Kody Brown, but things may change now that they’re both single.

Meri, 54, shares in an exclusive sneak peek from Us Weekly for part 4 of the Sister Wives: One-on-One special, airing on Sunday, June 15, that it’s been quite a while since she’s experienced any “action.”

The reality star, who was with Kody, 56, for over 30 years before their split in January 2023, mentioned that her friends are encouraging her to re-enter the dating scene.

“[My friend] says she’s going to buy me boxes of … protection because she insists, ‘I will get you [these items],’” Meri laughs. “I’m like, ‘I don’t need you to buy for me. Nothing’s happening. Nothing needs to happen.”

Host Sukanya Krishnan suggests that “things need to happen” now that Meri is available, to which she responds, “OK, when it’s right.”

In contrast, Janelle is acutely aware of the significance of intimacy in her future relationship, explaining to Krishnan that she’s not as reserved as she may seem.

Janelle, 56, previously stated to Us in December 2023 that sex is “very private between you and your partner.” Kody, during season 19, mentioned that Janelle’s mother advised him against showing PDA with first wife Meri when they were starting their plural family because it made her uncomfortable.

“Everyone assumes that just because I didn’t want to have assembly line kisses with Kody, I was asexual,” Janelle explains in the exclusive clip. “I assure you, I’m not asexual.”

Following her separation from Kody in December 2022 after nearly 30 years, Janelle insists she’s open to physical affection.

“Navigating hormones when you’re single is tough, but you just manage,” she adds, confirming, “I suspect that someday in the future, if there’s someone special, that will be part of it.”

Janelle emphasizes that despite her preference for minimal PDA on screen with Kody, she is “a very sexual being.” She adds with a hint of humor, “I’m a Taurus and a true Earth Mama. All things earthy—food, wine, sex—count me in.”
