‘Sister Wives’ Star Maddie Brush Pays Tribute to Brother by Naming Daughter After Him
Maddie Brown Brush is officially a mother of four.
The reality star from “Sister Wives” welcomed a baby girl on March 14 and posted an adorable photo of her newborn on Instagram two days later.
“Absolutely worth the wait, Miss Emilia Estelle Brush has finally made her grand entrance!” she wrote in the caption. “Our sweet girl took her time, keeping us all on our toes, but once she decided it was time—she came in fast. Born on 3/14, she arrived perfectly.”
In the picture, Emilia is peacefully sleeping, wrapped in a rose-hued outfit. Her delighted mother concluded the announcement with, “We are utterly smitten with our newest little love.”🩵
Maddie and her husband, Caleb Brush, are also parents to two daughters (Evie, 5, and Josephine, 2) and a son (Axel, 7).
Janelle Brown, Brown Brush’s mother, celebrated her granddaughter’s arrival by sharing the same photo on Instagram, captioning it with, “Sweet Emilia Estelle 😍😍😍😍. We waited for you to arrive. We are so in love.”
Followers of Brown Brush took to the comments to express their congratulations, with one noting the significance of Emilia’s middle name.
“She’s adorable, and I love her name, especially Estelle. Is it a tribute to Garrison since Estelle means ‘Star’ in Latin? Either way, she and her name are lovely,” they wrote.
Brown Brush confirmed the speculation, replying, “that is exactly what it is.”
Emilia’s birth occurs just over a year after the tragic passing of Brown Brush’s brother, Garrison Brown.
In memory of him, several siblings got tattoos inspired by a quote from his favorite movie, “Dragonheart”: “To the stars, Bowen, to the stars.”
The word “stella” translates to star in Latin, indicating that Brown Brush drew inspiration from this quote when naming her daughter.
On March 5, Brown Brush honored her late brother on Instagram, marking the anniversary of his death.
“A whole 365 days without you. Not a single day passes without missing you, Garrison. In the quiet moments amid life’s chaos, I think of you often. I hope and pray you’re at peace, rest, and finding the comfort you couldn’t find here. Until we meet again, little brother,” she wrote in her post.🩵
Janelle Brown also paid tribute to her son in a heartfelt Instagram message, stating, “I stay busy, but in EVERY quiet moment, you are always in my thoughts. It’s been a year, baby. We miss you so much. I miss you dearly.”
