Emmy Sharrett experienced an emotional meltdown in the recent episode of Southern Hospitality after an unexpected confrontation with her friends regarding her relationship with boyfriend Will Kulp.

In the episode that aired on Thursday, January 23, Michols Peña expressed his worries about Will’s treatment of Emmy, but his concerns seemed to fall on deaf ears.

“I’m amused because Will is my partner,” Emmy replied. “He’s my safe haven. Will is my comfort zone.”

Michols emphasized that his initial interaction with Will was quite troubling, mentioning that he overheard Will calling Emmy “anorexic” and criticizing her for supposedly being too self-absorbed regarding her appearance.

Emmy, however, defended Will, stating that he filled her in on everything after a night of drinking in Charleston. “I give him a pass because I understand he was probably just projecting,” she noted, adding, “If there was anything harmful in our relationship, I would let you know.”

When the topic about her and Michols’ earlier discussion resurfaced among the group later that evening, Emmy’s frustration escalated. She insisted that she was fine, but it was Will who was not, and asked everyone to back off.

Maddi Reese, TJ Dinch, and Lake Rucker were among the friends who affirmed hearing Will make disparaging remarks about Emmy during a night out. Emmy relayed what she had been told, but the group felt there was more to the story.

“Everyone pretends to be his friend, yet Will is absent. I’m uncomfortable discussing Will when he can’t defend himself,” she exclaimed.

In a fit of frustration, Emmy slammed the table and left the room. While on the phone with Will, tears of mascara running down her face, she expressed her feelings.

“They’re trying to paint you in a bad light,” Emmy told Will through her tears and gasping for air. “They’re claiming you said ‘I’m not the love of your life and that I don’t make you happy.’”

Will dismissed the accusations as “nonsense” and advised Emmy not to “feed into their drama.” (Emmy and Will had faced infidelity rumors in season 2, but stood strong together.)

Worried about Emmy’s extreme reaction, Maddi attempted to comfort her during the emotional breakdown.

“It was just one night, and I’ve lashed out in ways I didn’t mean,” Emmy told Will and Maddi. “I forgave you for it. I know you didn’t intend to hurt me.”

Newcomer Oisin O’Neill stirred controversy in the latest episode of Southern Hospitality by alleging that Will Kulp cheated on Emmy Sharrett. Oisin, who joined the Bravo series in season 2, caused a stir in the Thursday, December 21, episode after Emmy, 25, claimed that he “slapped my ass” while they were working together […]

Maddi explained that she believed the group wanted to resolve the situation and were not out to “attack” Emmy.

Bradley Carter later entered to console Emmy, assuring her, “We care about you deeply.”

Emmy maintained that Will had been open with her about everything he said, and they were moving forward together. After leaving the lake house, Emmy reiterated her frustrations toward her friends — not Will — regarding the ordeal.

“I am beyond angry. These are people I considered close friends,” Emmy told the cameras, feeling betrayed that they hadn’t approached her or Will directly to discuss their concerns (which, as shown in the episode’s footage, they had). “Friends don’t treat each other this way.”

Upon returning home, Emmy and Will expressed disappointment over how their friends had acted toward Emmy.

“It’s infuriating that two individuals we genuinely cared for and trusted did not safeguard us from the fallout of what I’m watching Emmy endure right now,” Will expressed, referring to TJ and Bradley. “That’s some of the worst betrayal one could experience from a friend.”

Meanwhile, Emmy revealed, “I trust no one. I believe in nothing.” She described everyone’s actions as “pathetic,” “disgusting,” and “malevolent.”

In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly earlier this month, she mentioned that her relationship with Will remains strong. She expressed hope for a possible engagement by the end of 2025, despite the recent challenges.

Southern Hospitality airs on Bravo every Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
