Spring TV Preview 2025: Highlights from ‘Pulse,’ ‘Ransom Canyon,’ ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ and Beyond
The upcoming spring TV lineup is packed with eagerly awaited premieres and returns, including Ransom Canyon, You, The Last of Us, and more.
Ransom Canyon marks Netflix’s foray into Western storytelling, based on the beloved book series by Jodi Thomas. This show not only features drama and romance set in a fictional Texas town, but it has also garnered attention from Us due to its charming cowboys. With stars like Garrett Wareing, Josh Duhamel, James Brolin, and Jack Schumacher, Ransom Canyon offers something for everyone, including Friday Night Lights enthusiasts eager to see Minka Kelly in a fresh role.
“At its heart, Ransom Canyon isn’t merely a town; it’s an idea. It encapsulates the painful yearning for first love, the deep desire to safeguard one’s family, and embodies the essence of cowboys and lovers, con artists and crooks. It’s a tapestry of lust, betrayal, heartache, and home. Ransom encompasses it all,” shared creator April Blair with Tudum in March 2025, reflecting on the series. “Viewers are going to fall in love with this little piece of Texas and the dramas and romances we’ve woven into it.”
While Ransom Canyon is just beginning its journey, The Handmaid’s Tale is gearing up to conclude with its sixth and final season on Hulu. Fortunately for fans, the streaming service is already in the works on a spinoff titled The Testaments.
